Went in with a reservation on a Saturday evening to a nearly empty restaurant. Not sure why it was empty because our food was absolutely amazing and the service was great as well! Steak was cooked perfectly and literally melted in your mouth. Calm atmosphere and unique decor. Would highly recommend.

I’ve travelled the world and eaten at some of the best restaurants on the planet but rarely have I had an experience more friendly than at The Flaming Buoy. The experience isn’t the story. What they do with food is an awakening, a mind blowing experience. Saul would’ve become Paul sooner if he had a meal at this place. This is the idol Indiana was trying to replace with a sand bag. This is the party with pasta salad that Melvin Udall talks about in As Good As It Gets. If you have the opportunity for a meal 15 minutes before crossing the bar, this is it.

This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Our server (I think his name was Juan but I might be misremembering), was so sweet and pleasant to talk to. The vibe in the restaurant is very classy but nerdy with subtle Star Wars and Marvel themes throughout. They had amazing specials and the best shrimp I have ever eaten. If you are in Key West you MUST eat here.

Juan was THE BEST server! The best vibes. The best food. The best service here in Key West. A truly hidden gem in the Keys and will be coming back. The owners and the energy were superior. The wine selection is extremely vast and many choices to pair perfectly with your food.

What an amazing find! Beer and Wine only, bur great selection.Came in for light dinner, let me tell you the small plate of lobster mac and cheese was thee best thing ive had in awhile and the chili hot dogs wete outstanding. Alot of food and amazing!

The food was a wonderful Suprise, every dish at the table was amazing, the staff was friendly and accommodated our party of 8 with ease. The Star Wars theme was incredible so much to see. You will not be disappointed.

Came here with my family (party of 5, 3 kids 13, 12, 8 and my husband and I) for my birthday dinner. The food was delicious! For apps we ate the duck flatbread and the shrimp quesadilla. Main courses we got the lobster Mac & cheese (12 yo), Thai noddles (13 yo), chicken and waffles (8yo) and my husband and I got the Surf & Turf filet and lobster. Everything we ate tasted delicious and fresh! Kids enjoyed the decorations as well as my Star Wars fan husband. Service was great! Dean was attentive, funny and helpful. You can tell this place is full of heart with their service and their food. They even sang happy birthday to me and the key lime dessert was delicious! We loved it so much that we recommended it to people at the pool at our hotel today and they all booked reservations! Can’t wait to go back again next time we are in town!
We truly enjoyed the Flaming Bouy. We shared the bacon wrapped scallops, appetizer trio and surf and turf special. Everything was fantastic. We agreed that the shrimp from the appetizer trio were our favorite shrimp of the entire trip. The lobster thermidor was a new experience for me and was a fun way to try lobster prepared differently. The restaurant was intimate and the food was delicious. Our server Dean did a great job.

This was really good food. The lobster mac appetizer was as good as anywhere we've tasted. Blue cheese filet was excellent. My wife had the trio which was prepared perfectly the star of the trio was the sweet potato scallops. All were great as was the entire staff.

We LOVE this place so much! We tried it for the first time last year on our vacation. Came back this year and brought our family. We’d been bragging about the meal we’d had for the last year and this time around did not disappoint. Had the lime butter grouper again and the Lobster bisque. So freaking good! This is a must try! Please please please open a location in Tampa or St. Pete!
