The room was very small not much space besides a bed and bathroom. Wouldn’t have been that bad but the room had no ventilation and smelled moldy from moisture. The window ac unit was also very loud and made it difficult to sleep. Would highly recommend staying somewhere else, even though the location of the hotel is very convenient to Duvall and downtown

I loved the location of this inn. I could have done without the black mold. I have stayed in many different B&Bs in Key West. I know they are old and often don’t have modern upgrades. Usually the charm & quaintness of the inn make up for it. That was not the case here. It was falling apart, it was dirty, there was mold, the staff wasn’t friendly, and the breakfast was terrible. There was literally blood on the hallway floor for 2 days and still there before I left. Coffee maker and iron didn’t work. Air conditioner sounded like a plane landing during the night. All of this for about $2600 for 4 nights.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had — especially for the price. We paid over $2,000 for four nights and the condition of the room was completely unacceptable.

The mini fridge smelled strongly like fish the entire stay, making it unusable. The window blinds were broken and wouldn’t close or open properly, so there was no privacy or light control. The bathroom had visible black mold, which is a serious health concern. Several of the dresser drawers were broken and wouldn’t open or stay on track. The light fixtures were rusty and looked like they hadn’t been maintained in years.

On top of all that, the room overall felt dirty and poorly kept. For what we were charged, I expected at least basic cleanliness and working amenities. This stay was incredibly disappointing and not worth the money at all. I would not stay here again.

Occasionally you meet someone who seems to gain pleasure out of being rude and objectionable to people. However they do not usually work in hotel reception. If you enjoy this treatment then I recommend this hotel to you. I have never in many years of travelling and staying in hotels felt less welcome than here.
This is a pity as there are some good features: 2 pools, a hot tub, a good choice breakfast, 24 hour Starbucks coffee machine.
The rooms are fairly basic for the price and variable in quality as others have noted. Our poolside room on our second night was far better than the room for the first.
The location is excellent being just a few yards from Duvall Street and the Southermost Point.
Limited on site car parking for 6 cars at $30 per night.

DO NOT STAY THERE. cut my hand on old pool chairs. i told the manager and they did nothing about it. the mattress were lumpy old. floors were washed with dirty mop. room not cleaned very well. rooms very small. the sun is blocked by the buildings and palm trees on both pools most of the day.. some rooms on third floor enjoy walking the stairs . breakfast was good. entrance ways wood and metal rails falling apart. i told the manager about the rail. she said i do not own the property. seem the owners are in Singapore . booking .com say there is a gym there . THERE IS NO GYM. I WOULD NOT LET MY DOG STAY THERE.

Horrible room. Looks like a patio shed converted into a room. Super dirty and the clorox smell made it hard to fall asleep. Way overpriced. Not recommended.

Location was great, not noisy and still able to walk everywhere. Rooms were good size and bed was comfortable. Luckily it was cool at night so didn’t need the A/C because it sounded like an aircraft carrier was landing. Bathroom was very small, outdated, and had some mold they definitely need to be remodeled. Breakfast was mediocre at best and happy hour was cheese, nuts, and wine.

The room was nothing special. Very small. No table or place to put anything. All of the accessories are very cheap. The towel holders were plastic. The water pressure in the sink was so low was barely coming out. The sink was dirty. This place is not worth the money.

The location is perfect. The receptionist very helpful. That’s the only good I can say about this place. The backyard pool area nice enough. But the place itself is rundown and in need of repair and updating. If this were a budget priced hotel I wouldn’t mind. But we paid $2,500 for two rooms for two nights. Including $90 amenity fee for EACH room on top of the room rate! The paint was worn, holes in the walls, bathroom floors need to be deep cleaned or replaced. They were disgusting. The linoleum floor slats in the room had gaps and were not installed properly. No closets in the room. Not one shelf in the shower. Cheap towels. No housekeeping for two days. Extremely limited breakfast. Tiles in the entrance area were chipped, the carpet on the stairs was dirty. Like I said, I can live with this in a budget hotel. But at these prices, they can afford to clean up and update the rooms. Very disappointed.

This was one of the worst bed & breakfast inns I’ve ever stayed in! It started out with the least friendly reception possible by the woman at the front desk. If I hadn’t already paid, I would’ve left right there and then. I don’t know how they can charge $300 a night PLUS a hotel amenity fee of $40 for a room that is smaller than a laundry room! We banged into the bed frame every time we moved about the room. There was very limited space to put a suitcase or clothing. The flooring was coming up and there was a huge crack that you could’ve cut your foot on if you stepped on it the wrong way. The nightstands were wobbly, the bathroom door barely cleared the toilet which you had to sit sideways on in order not to hit the wall and toilet paper holder. The bathroom floor could use a good cleaning, the shower couldn’t have been bigger than 2’x2’ and the shower head was in such a position that you had to stand sideways in the shower to make it work. The breakfast was kind of a joke; hard boiled eggs, make your own waffles, cereal & fruit salad that looked like it had seen better days. The woman at checkout was just as unfriendly as the one at check-in & yesterday, it was a different person. All in all, it’s a great place to stay if you plan on being constantly drunk and don’t care where you stay or how much money you spend. I would highly recommend avoiding the Southern Most Inn at all costs unless you’re a glutton for punishment and want to pay way too much money for it. My husband has incarcerated people in cells with better amenities.

I stayed here one night on a Friday night. I really loved the feel and atmosphere of this hotel. It’s small and friendly. Very nice relaxing pool and hot tube along with dinning area. Would stay again.

Flights got canceled due to government shutdown so we cancelled five days prior to reservation.Very unhelpful and unfriendly.Refused any sort of refund.I visit frequently through the year and have never had the misfortune to work with a place like this.Buyer Beware. Very sketchy.
