Turns out this is a VFW Restaurant and bar. Service was good. Food was ordinary and some overcooked. Atmosphere was sad. I am married to a disabled Vet who is a life member of the organization and this place was definitely not welcoming.

A bar and restaurant known only to locals! The portions were really generous and served in large bowls, the owner was very sweet, the food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and it was the most profitable restaurant I've ever eaten in the US. It may be difficult to find, but you can just follow Google Maps, so go in and try it without doubting whether it's right ❤️

We decided to go to the VFW for prime rib and found out the burgers are a heck of a meal. Yeah they stopped doing the prime rib because nobody was going there for it. I don't know what is wrong with the folks around here!!! This VFW post is an awesome place for a big hearty meal at a great price. The people there were awesome, the music a bit loud but good genre and our waitress had an amazing personality. Even though there wasn't any prime rib we stayed and had a great burger with great music and had one of the coolest servers ever. I support our troops and respect them for what they've done and do for us. Thank you for opening your establishment to the public.

Key West was overall disappointing. They need to figure out how to handle transportation in this place, We were hoping or lunch at one of their upscale places, but no parking. This was on a wekay. City management, I guess, doesn't care that they're hurting business. So we wound up here, aat their cafe called "The V". I lik rate placces on their own terms, and this is not aiming to b a fine dining upscale place. We got a couple of burgers, my wife and driver had an ic tea, I indulged in Bud Light. The burgers were good, cooked to order, fries crisp, srvic good even tho' our server had just started the job. Expect bar ambiance, a good dose os public service and honor for our vets, and a decent meal at a good price.

Had a great experience here on one of my first days in the Keys. Was greeted at the door by Mary, who took my drink order before even sitting down. The food was pretty good, the chicken sandwich coming with a large portion of fries. Trivia is constantly playing on the TV. Also one of the more reasonably priced places to eat, with 3 drinks and a meal coming out to less than $20.

As a vet it hurt me to say everything wise fine until the check arrived. $32 for a mediocre prime rib and $5 domestic beers! Ouch. You can get a much better steak at the best steak house here in key west. Total rip-off. Now I know why it was empty in there. Won't be back.
