Sunset Lounge Bar - Military Base - Authorized Patrons Only

We only stopped here for drinks, not food, but they were 4-star delicious! The atmosphere is so nice, and of course, being an MWR facility, the prices were much lower than off post. We’re planning to stay at the Lodge here on our next trip down, so I expect we’ll visit the bar many times.

Nice to have a spot like this on base to grab a drink and a bite.

The nachos are definitely not worth the money, what they call salsa is diced tomatoes, it has sprinkle cheese melted in a microwave, a few jalapeños and a small amount of beef. Not what you expect of nachos, the shrimp was over cooked and fries were super salty and soggy. I ended up throwing my food away. .

Burger without ketchup? No Go!. If is free, I don't care, but since my kid ordered, then we have a problem. Everything else in the menu is super overrated.

Beware: If you are not Military Personnel or within the Military Realm, you cannot come here. If you go anyway and get busted, a hefty fine will be imposed.It's a shame because the place seems awesome and they could do a invite-only model on slow days via invite only but who am I to suggest that... They should know that a calm place with a precise point of view of Key West sunset is a hard task...Other than that, I hope the reader of this review has a great stay in Key West!

The stafff was friendly and the smoked tuna dip was awesome, we also ordered the blackened mahi mahi sandwhich, coconut shrimp and fried fish basket all was really good.

Right on the water. Went with our military son. You order your food at the cash register, and pick up your drinks at the bar area. New tables and chairs look terrific. Great view of the water. Very casual.

Got to campground last night and wanted quick bite after sunset show. This place was very good. The food and drink selection was as Expected and good. The sunset view was terrific and we walked back to camp. I had the Cesar salad and 6 coconut shrimp. The salads are large and dinner size so I would have made that my meal and added chicken to it. I would also ask for dressing on the side next time as it was too much for my taste. Shrimp were good. Partner had the mahi bowl and liked it very much. He had a rum runner and I had white wine. All good.
