First time here and we were greeted warmly. We were given options of where to sit and were seated immediately. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks and a Coconut Shrimp appetizer. The Coconut Shrimp was good, but didn't taste like coconut at all. Our main course was Grilled Dorado and Salmon and Lamb Shish Kabobs. The food was delicious and the service (by Sergio!) was impeccable! We will definitely be back!

First off, I would not call this a true restaurant, it is a bar. It took almost 1 hour to get our food and it wasn't busy. There are so many better dining options in Orlando, I would skip this one.

I am always hesitant to give a negative review, but this was not a good experience. There wre four of us. I got the bronzino and the flavor was great. But the menu didn't state whole fish including head or that it hadn't been deboned. Rice with it was dry. Another person got the beef kebab and it was excellent. Two people got something like an empanada. They were large, but unfortunately nearly hollow. Not tasty. One person got the Greek salad - no lettuce, only olives, cheese tomatoes. When he asked for lettuce and more dressing, it was greeted unfriendly by the server. We couldn't figure out what the dressing was that was brought. The salad was inedible. The service was horrible. One one of us asked for the lettuce, our server was not existent. We talked with the manager who said they were going through some transitions. I hope so.

We all know the old saying, "there's only one chance to make a good first impression." I reserved a booth in the main dining room, called the Dubai Room, so we would be able to chat during dinner. Having made it clear to the woman who answered the phone this would be our first time at 1881, she neglected to tell me alcohol is not served in that room. We arrived for our reservation and were seated in a lovely, spacious area. I told the waiter we would like separate checks and he said their system does not do that, we should just split the bill in half. Our waiter brought menus, some of which, included a drink menu. It's at that time we were told no alcohol in that room. As we began looking at the menu, we asked for water and green tea. I asked for lemon tea, an item on the menu and the waiter was clueless. He asked if I wanted brown or green tea, to which I said, no, lemon tea. I finally gave up and said I'll just drink water. Four small bowls were placed on the table next. No explanation. After a while, a pot of tea was placed at the other end of the table. Still no water. Our friends ordered the mixed grill for two and my husband and I ordered the same thing. Additionally, my husband ordered soup. My friend chased after a different waiter and asked for water, which he brought after a bit and explained that the small bowls were used to drink the tea. Our entrees arrived but no soup. The entree photos left for us with the menus gave the impression that grilled vegetables were served with the mixed grill entree. We asked the waiter who brought the water and he said no. However, because the photo gave us the wrong impression, he would bring us grilled vegetables, at no charge, just this once. Still no soup. We finished our entrees, minus the soup and grilled vegetables which never appeared. Our original waiter and the water waiter never checked back with us. Along comes an "almost" manager. He works at the restaurant, just not this room. He asked how we liked everything. We told him the mixed grill was delicious, except for the lack of grilled vegetables. That's where the compliments stopped. We told him about the horrible service, the soup that never arrived, having to chase a waiter for water, the whole evening. He removed the price of the soup from the check and said he gave us 10% off. We believe in supporting local businesses. 1881 could be a fabulous melting pot of cultures but they definitely have a lot of work to do. In all my years, I have NEVER not left a tip. This was the first time. The manager knew, so there would be no mistake, a message had to be sent. All of their employees need better training. A new server should be shadowed and they must know the menu. If a guest requests a table in a room where alcohol is not served, they should be told before being seated.

We went to this place for drinks and the bill came to $17.48. i gave him 100.00 and he did notreturn my change. i was going to leave a tip, but since he either didn't know how to count out change, or assumed he would take my money as a tip. Well he lost a lot more than .52 cents. This has happened more than once lately and I am at a loss. since when is the change not returned? Since when is it ok for a server to round up and steal your money? Are people that dumb they can't figure out how to give back change? Yea they are! Fed upin Kissimmee!

We attended dinner at 1881 last night and were throughly impressed with the food and service. It is a unique dinning experience with a variety of food, beverage and dessert options. We had Kabobs that were tender and very tasty. They have a large selection of wines and liquor. Our server was great! We highly recommend 1881 to anyone that is traveling in this area!

This is such a fun place. Lots of food choices, great vibe. I wish I lived closer, this would be the perfect place to hold work dinners.

1881 in Downtown Kissimmee has beautiful decor and ambiance, and good flavourful food. Service was a little lackluster, but the food was pretty good, and they just opened, so there are going to be some growing pains. They did lose my order and didn't let us know until about an hour of waiting... The owner did apologize and quickly gave us a free appetizers dish to hold us over until our food was cooked. The food and setting are from Dubai in 1881, so it's a really unique place that I hope is able to work out the kinks and stay here. They did even keep many of the historical items from the historical hardware store that just went out of business about a year ago. I'll probably give it another chance in a few months.

Based on my experience in the Dubai room I had a great time! The atmosphere is fantastic the food is delicious and the service was very friendly, I do hope that they have more than one person serving tables cause she was fantastic but that would be a lot for one person. Highly reccomend! Also it's a little confusing on where to go to get to the Dubai room. I think there could be signs put up to help people figure out where to go.

Actually I read good comments but personally I didn't really like their food... my husband and family said it was good but I didn't like it that's why I gave it 3 stars because the fact that I didn't like it doesn't mean it's bad. I hope your experience is
