Bought a two-tiered white cake last night and the customer service was outstanding even though it was almost closing time.

I felt deeply uncomfortable during my visit, as some of the employees were speaking in Spanish about me in a discriminatory way, assuming I wouldn’t understand — this kind of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable.

I enjoy the Puerto Rican cakes and my family has been patrons of Brenda’s for over a year celebrating every birthday with a Brenda cake. Yesterday was my Titi’s birthday. All she wanted was a cake from Brenda’s. The cake we got was unfortunately was spoiled. We sang to her with it and afterward when cutting into it it smelled like sour milk, and tasted awful. Typically the cakes are moist, sweet, and delicious. We took the cake from the premade refrigerator and bought it same day. Immediately after purchase we went to my aunt’s house for her celebration. There was no reason the cake was spoiled from how we handled it. As stated prior as well, we have bought several cakes from Brenda’s. We had actually bought a cake the week prior for my daughter’s birthday and for reference we left the cake out on the counter for four days prior to it spoiling. The cake we purchased yesterday seemed like a cake we saw the week prior in the same fridge (however we assumed that the premade cakes just look similar). We now believe the cake was actually the same and had been improperly disposed of and instead sold to us. I would have expected the customer service to such a blunder would have been better, however it felt as though we were treated more so like a suspicious inconvenience. They did replace the cake, however I was required to bring the entire spoiled cake back and could not go to the location closer to my side of town as the original purchase was made in the Kissimmee location. No refund or coupon for future use was issued.

Neighborhood staple for cake supplies & ready made cakes. Their Puerto Rican-style cakes are very good (note: if you haven’t had this type of cake before, it’s moist and on the sweeter side). Their cakes are a good value compared to what some home bakers charge.

Bought a $12 cake today. Very disappointed with the quality. It was dry and it tasted old. They no longer have pride in their product. What a shame.

So glad I found this place. Their cakes are so yummy. It is so hard to find someone that makes a good cake nowadays. Moving forward this is the place to go for cakes for celebrations in my household.

I have visited Brenda's Cakes a few times. Both times, the customer service has been minimal, which is fine. The cake display is directly to the right side upon entering. You take what you want to the counter and pay for it, easy enough. The first cake I purchased from Brenda's was a small round cake in an aluminum pan ($12.99). It was moist, flavorful, and had the right amount of frosting. It was also not overly sweet, which I enjoyed very much. The cake was fresh and tasted great. The second cake I purchased was a round 7x3 cake in a plastic container. The cake was nicely decorated. However, this cake was on the dry side, and it was kind of hard. The frosting was stiff and too sweet. I don't think this particular cake was fresh like the first one I purchased. While I like the flavor of the cakes, I will only purchase the smaller ones in hopes that it is fresh.

Brenda's also sells cake supplies. Everything from pans/silicone molds to bagged custards/jelly fillings. My review is ONLY for the cake section of the business.

I went to make a purchase for the first time, since the place had been recommended to me, and very good service. Johani, one of the girls who was there, was very kind and knowledgeable about the place and what I was looking for. Ahhh and I bought a piece of cake, which I had heard so much about the Boricua style and I loved it. I recommend the place.

Parking: Easy access.
