Decent Mexican food.

Very overpriced. $7 for a jarritos… wow
I got the carne asada and I tasted very bland. Not a lot of flavor.. but my wife’s was very tasty. Food was hit or miss I guess.

Place says on google maps they close at 2am. Arrived at 10:20pm and host told us kitchen closes at 10:30pm, didnt even sit us down.

My family and I were warmly greeted by the host and served by Matea with great hospitality. Our food came out hot and tasted great. Refills were consistent and the check was provided with great timing.

😍The Food was Absolutely BANG'N! The Molcajete (Barbacoa) is AMAZING! The flavors, and the portions, and the meat was PERFECT! SO much more than expected, and just the best meal we've had in a long time. 100% Recommend! So satisfying, so delicious. Eating here will make you and your tummy happy!

We had lunch here today, and the food here was bland! Not authentic at all. The tacos are horrible. The rice disgusting it had to be rice and food from the day before. We literally left all our food on the plate! The beans was the worst beans I have ever tasted. How can you go wrong with beans? This place was disappointing 😞 just wasn't it

Having worked in a Mexican restaurant during college and having followed a plant-based lifestyle for nearly 20 years, I was thrilled to try El Jefe’s after my brother and my amazing Mexican sister-in-law raved about the delicious food. They were absolutely right—it did not disappoint!

We visited as a family and ordered several dishes: the queso fundido, guacamole, and the jackfruit “carnitas” molcajete. The flavors were incredible and transported me back to the authentic Mexican cuisine my former boss used to prepare at her restaurant. It has been almost 20 years since I last enjoyed a molcajete, and this one was worth the wait—it was a perfect blend of tradition and plant-based creativity.

While the food was outstanding, what truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service from Andres. From the moment we arrived until we left, Andres went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. His attentiveness, warm demeanor, and genuine care for our experience were unparalleled. He truly embodies what great hospitality should be—making guests feel welcome, valued, and thoroughly enjoying their meal.

As someone who dines at numerous restaurants on Disney trips, I can confidently say that El Jefe’s is not only my favorite Mexican restaurant but also delivered the best customer service I’ve experienced on this visit. Andres, you made our meal unforgettable—thank you!
