We stayed at this resort last weekend. Attended the presentation on the promise that we would receive a free 7 night, 8 day stay at Silver Lake Resort in a 2 bed, 2 bath condo. We checked in last Friday night and were signed up for the presentation Saturday morning Friday night I looked at trying to book for our upcoming trip in December but there were not any 2 bed/2 bath condos even available for our dates. So I texted Jim in guest services and he said “oh we keep those rooms blocked off for these particular reservations/promotions so it’ll be available once you get your free certificate”. So, we attended the presentation and actually liked what we saw…. We ultimately declined to join (for the time being) because we wanted to do our own research first and wanted to test how easy it would be to redeem gift before we decided to purchase as an owner. After the presentation, we got an email that offered a cruise or airline ticket… which was not what we were promised. So we went to the desk. After 7 people, they said “oh you want the RCI certificate instead” so they switched us over to that (which is evidently “just for owners but since you guys are good people, I’ll give it to you” per Jim in guest services). Ummm, first of all, this is the deal HE promised us… as guests… not owners. What a joke. So I got my certificate and tried to book our promised 2bed/2bath condo for dates that we have planned. One, it only books out to July, not Dec (even though he told me I could book it right away). Two, silver lakes wasn’t even listed as a possible resort to stay at. Three, most of the resorts listed were not even free! They all had charges associated with them. The only few free ones were only one bedroom rooms, not condos as promised. And they were all little one star hotels. Not resorts. I have called and called and have been transferred to person to person and absolutely no one knows how to fix it. They just transfer me to someone else. Now you tell me why I’d want to invest $65k into being an owner when no one can get me an answer or get me to the right department to make this right. There was a promise made on night one and it has not been fulfilled. We have been lied to. Blatantly. Please fix this before it escalates. I will not back down or let this go. Make it right and we will consider purchasing in the future.

Should be a Gold crown. Great facility, awesome staff and fantastic location. Beautiful pool and great game room. Yummy food in 2 locations on property. our grandchildren were in heaven, we had 3 bedrooms so lots of privacy as well as access. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The pool was a great place to relax and the poolside refreshments are priced nicely. The room was clean, spacious, and we slept well at night. It’s also so great having a kitchen on vacation.

I recommend this resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. The rooms were very clean and updated. The rooms were equipped with all the necessities you would need. The pool and hot tub were kept clean. The restaurant offered a variety of food for all.

They are trying but new management company needs to step it up. They have a good location. Good pools and recreation. Units are dated and well worn. Not enough seating. Uncomfortable beds. Noisy halls. Not a repeat with orange lake and summer bay near by. Sorry

Cockroaches all over the room. The front desk said "We can move you to a new room but it is likely the same issue will present itself". Nothing else to remedy the situation. Told me I had to call RCI. We slept in our car and found a new place the next morning. When contacting RCI they said "Cockroaches are a FL thing". I replied with "so are alligators but we don't want them in our room". Neither cared at all.

I enjoyed my stay here and it was primarily to go to the parks. This resort is next to Disney's animal kingdom and within 10 minutes of other Disney parks. About half an hour to Universal depending on traffic. Friendly employees and I will be returning soon! My unit was very clean! GO! Enjoy!!!
The units we rented were nice. The staff was friendly. There are multiple pools and many amenities. We stayed in both an 8 person condo and a 6 person condo . Both were spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay.

Well maintained facility, staff very polite & accommodating. Restaurant & small store within the resort very convenient. Good location for day trips, would stay again. Did ask but did not pressure regarding buying into the resort.

I had a great time. Very nice resort. Very kid friendly and adult friendly. Great location!! Not far from Disney at all and other attractions. Staff was friendly and I loved the pool hours. Arcade is great for kids.

Silver Lake has many amenities, but most important is location, location, location. We enjoyed playing pingpong in the rec room, swimming in the pool, and watching movies in our spacious suite. We were so close to Disney's Animal Kingdom.
