This is my first time patronizing, 20.20.23, this establishment and it’ll be my last! If I could give zero stars I would. This is the reason. I asked about the “special menu board” and was told that it was only chicken on special. I ordered Oxtails that was posted on a regular menu chalkboard. There were menus on the counter to the right of the register so I took one to look at and when I looked at the menu it had Oxtails for lunch & dinner prices that were different then what was posted on the regular menu chalkboard. The lady who took my order didn’t mention. Terrible customer service. Most importantly, she didn’t give me my receipt to sign but she gave other customers their receipt to sign. That’s unacceptable. She had a nervous disposition. Why? I could feel that something wasn’t right. I went back in the restaurant to see my receipt and to sign my receipt. I feel that she took advantage of this being my first visit to this restaurant, instead of providing excellent/fair service that would welcome me back. That is why I WILL NOT PATRONIZE JJ’s Caribbean Resturant AGAIN.

I love Jamaican food but i went into JJs for the first time to try them out because they’re close to my job. So I went in and the lady standing behind the desk is talking to another customer. So waited for her to finish talking. She sees me standing there and you would think she would stop her conversation to attend me because I am a customer and I just walked in. No, she continues to have her conversation and let me stand there waiting. Then walks to the kitchen, comes back out to find her phone because it’s ringing and continues to talk on the phone while I’m STILL WAITING FOR HER TO ATTEND ME. Rude and unprofessional and unfortunately I will not be going back.

I have to state that I am very biased when It comes to Jamaican food. It's all wonderful. The gentleman who served us was friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Rice and peas were amazing. My only complaint is that more people weren't there. I expect a line and a wait. But sadly, there was neither. Where are all of you? Fast food? The heck? Get to JJ's and have yourself some healthy goodness.

Pros: The food is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CARRIBEAN FOOD I'VE EVER HAD!!! The Oxtail is what I ordered and it was literally perfectly cooked and proportions were amazing!The peas and rice were better than anywhere else I've EVER eaten ?.Almost no wait, food was fresh, and customer service was phenomenal.EAT HERE!!!Cons: It would have been great to have music playing while I waited but the food made the silence worthwhile!Kid-friendliness: Quiet atmosphere, lots of open space, kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: The entire facility is wheel chair accessible and Ada friendly.

Utterly disgusting, Id assume they must be tired because that's exactly how this food tastes. The only thing I can provide credit for was the meat (curry chicken) but for a large I didn't get much meat, just plenty of the nasty salad and rice and peas (such a weird taste).
