Lizzie's Memphis Style Barbecue

Waiter Joel was phenomenal, I was not at all impressed with the food. The macaroni and cheese tasted like boxed water. The brisket although tender lacked seasoning. Overall the food was flavorless.

Loved the Brisket sandwich and my husband had the ribs. Both were fantasic. The Mama's Peach Tea is awesome!

The menu has only 2 bbq items. Pulled pork and brisket. Don’t be fooled. This is an attempt to put bbq sauce on a pedestrian menu with no soul. That said, with only one waitress trying to handle the entire restaurant on a Friday night it was a chaotic mess. We walked out. Management needs to pay attention to at least getting enough help.

This is the first time in Florida. Looked up places to eat. Lizzie's memphis style barbecue got my attention. The menu and prices look reasonable. From the start waitress was great she knows all about the food!! The food we ordered was so DELICIOUS!!! Meat was soft juicy you didn't need to add anything!! Tip the waitress real good. One more thing my husband never did this before. He had tip the cook himself too!! That's how great our food was!!!!🤙🤙🥰🥰

First timers while on vacation and it was AMAZING at Lizzie’s!!! Nachos were incredible as was our service and overall experience. Highly recommend and hopefully we’ll be back again.

Went there for the first time...The pulled pork was very dry it needed a ton of BBQ sauce to moisten it up (not a fan of their BBQ sauce) the greenbeans with onion and bacon was all oil with hardly any bacon or onions and a quite a few greenbean stems in it...hubs had a sandwich that he said was great and he had a peach cobbler that was good but tasted like cornbread with canned peaches...it took 30 min for peach cobbler...kids liked the chicken tender sandwich and chicken tenders but our 11 yr old was not offered a kid menu (didn't see one til we walked out annoyed by that)...u do get a sidewalk charge for 1% of ur bill which is wierd...on top of that when they give u the check they stand there waiting for my husband to pull out his wallet and watch over u as u pay!!!! My husband was not happy over that and I would not recommend or go back ever again. (There were only 3 families in the whole restaurant at the time we were there for early dinner arrived at 4pm and then waited 5 min for someone to come out from the back and tell us about a delivery issue)

Lizzie’s claims to be “the best,” but after my visit, I’d say that slogan is nothing but false advertising. The barbecue was painfully dry — so dry it felt like I needed a gallon of water just to get one bite down. The flavor? It showed up for about 60 seconds, then disappeared faster than smoke in the wind. After that, it was nothing but a chewy, flavorless struggle, like trying to swallow a leather shoe.

For a place that boasts Memphis-style barbecue, this was hands down one of the worst experiences I’ve had. When you put “the best” on your name, you better back it up — Lizzie’s didn’t even come close.

Used to Be Great, Now Just Frustrating

I used to love this place. The food was solid, and the service made it feel special. Lately, though, things have gone downhill. Service is slow, minimum staffing levels, there was one waitress Who was very pushy and felt rushed to order something off the menu.

The food’s still decent, but it’s hard to enjoy when you’re waiting forever or dealing with mix-ups. I hope they turn it around, but for now, we are taking a break.

The pulled pork, brisket, and cornbread great! We were there on the first Saturday of the month and there was free music and a car show outside!

Food was good. Had the brisket sandwich with potato salad. Others in our party had burgers and fries and chicken.
Food could have been a little more seasoned for my taste.
Table service was excellent. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. I would try them again next time in FL.
