Great place at Pop, wonderful service as with most Disney dining. Best Negroni at WDW

If you like paper thin walls, housekeeping coming into your room twice a day (and rushing you out of your room four hours before check out) uncomfortable beds, and an hour wait for the sky liner…this is the hotel for you! I’m an avid disney goer. A “Disney adult” if you will. I’ve gone twice a year for most of my adult life (while I was the one paying and planning the trips) my last trip for a plethora of reasons was horrible, but most of this was due to Pop Century. We got into our room (which is way smaller than the other moderate and value resort hotels, not sure why) and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash was missing - let me be very clear - I do NOT care about this because I always travel with my own products…but after checking into our room and being completely naked getting changed a housekeeping person walked in without knocking, just busted in with their key, to replace the bottles and saw me fully naked. I was mortified. He didn’t knock he just busted on in - HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE A SYSTEM THAT TELLS YOU THAT I J U S T CHECKED INTO MY ROOM AND IM MOST LIKELY IN HERE ??? This was very rattling to me and felt incredibly invasive. Then I asked him to come back (because I don’t have clothes on), because he just HAD to put the bottles in there himself, I’m like…”why can’t I do it?” So he came into my room later with his shoes on, left tracks of mud with every foot print - to say I was rattled and annoyed was an understatement. An hour later another lady came by to make sure we had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. OMG! GIVE IT A REST! How do you not have a better system to let you know these tasks have been done???? I declined room service for our stay because we don’t need or want it, yet the same man returned the next day saying he had to “check” on the room. I don’t know if this was a law or something(?) he had to check the bathroom too. Another instance where I felt like my privacy was invaded. It was giving motel 6 energy. Finally on the last day of our stay, 8:30am in the morning me and my husband were sound asleep and there was a knock on the door - I assume this was the manager of housekeeping because she was in different attire. She was like “oh just checking” just checking ???? To make sure we’re gone so you can flip our room ??? Check out isn’t until 11am - I don’t need you pounding on my door at 8:30am on the morning of a long travel day. Another instance of feeling disrespected and having my space invaded. And guess what?!?! The same lady came BACK AT 10!!! I answered the door and was like “yes????” And she was like “oh do you have late check out?” I’m like “no but it’s 10am and check out isn’t for another hour.” She was like “okay good.” And left. No apology, no nothing. I couldn’t get over how rude this was to rush and usher people out of their rooms after they just spent $1, 000 for 4 nights to stay there. I am so frustrated by this experience at Pop Century that I might never return to Disney property again. For a company who uses everything electronic, they need to figure out a better system. I felt like I was at a crappy motel, or a cheap restaurant that wanted to turn tables. Never again. Oh and the sky liner line to get back to your resort at night is like two hours long. Oh and we had worms in our room too.

While the accommodations are fine, the time it has taken us to check in has ALWAYS been an issue with me! It is as if the receptionists treating senior citizens make it a point to make one’s check in laborious and inconvenient! Still trying to figure out what the draw is to this dying attraction. If high prices, long lines, long check in time, and mediocre food attracts you, then I would be interested in selling you the Brooklyn Bridge!

First time in Disney for 15 years, and for a "budget" is fantastic ! Well themed sky liner resort. Beds are so comfy, just what you need after a long day in the parks. The food court is great, but It can get a little repeative if you're there for 14 days. 3 awesome pools, plenty of benches to sit by hour glass lake and watch the world go by and relax. 5-10 minute walk to the skyliner station. I'm An uber from Orlando Airport was $55 and took about 40 mins in the late afternoon/ evening. September 2022

We stayed at Pop for spring break with 2 elementary age kids. It was a great spot for us for the week, loved the theming and fun atmosphere. We were in a standard room and got assigned to the 80s section, our staircase was a three story rubics cube! The queen Murphy bed was comfortable, and smart design. We left it down all week and the room is definitely small, but were just in there to sleep and get ready, watch some tv. Smart storage areas and they make the most of the space. Suitcases fit under the beds. Added gallon ziplocks of ice to our beverage cooler in room to keep milk, juice colder. You will defiantly put some steps in walking but it’s not too bad. The best perk was the use of Skyliner to go to Hollywood studios and Epcot, it was quick and fun and almost another attraction in itself to have a Birds Eye view. I’d book this resort again just for the skyliner! We only ate in the dining room a couple of times, I wouldn’t want to eat there too much I think I would get tired of the food. But we did have very good bbq sandwiches, grilled chicken sandwich, fries. Grab and go options convenient. Cabana bar is fun and quick service by the pool. Pretzels, beer, and mixed drinks, smoothies & soda for kids. Luggage guys were really great for keeping our suitcases once we had to check out of room but still had a few hours before we left for our flight. Arcade was also a lot of fun with a lot of options, nice gift shop. Our son lost his tooth while we were there and a lady in the gift shop gave him a little certificate, really nice staff everywhere on resort.

We've been staying here for years. It's never been disappointing. With all of the upgrades that have been done in the past few years. This is an outstanding place to stay at, in the magic, for a real fair price. Between the updated rooms and the gondola option you can't go wrong.

We love this hotel. This is the second time we stayed here in two months. Super clean. Updated room and the skyliner is the bomb dot com. We love the ride and the convenience of it. We will stay here every time we visit the magic. Stay in rooms in the 50s or 60s to be close to food and fun.

Stayed for a couple Disney park days. Definitely the best of the value resorts. Room was in modern and in good shape, couple dings on cleanliness but nothing major. Staff we ALL friendly and accommodating, much better customer service than far more expensive non-Disney properties. Skyliner was convenient, long line in the morning but once on board it was quick and after fireworks the line moved fast.

I have stayed here before about 8 years ago. Much better this stay. I walked into the lobby and the customer service at the desk was fantastic. Room was ready early. Checked in about noon and got my room at 12:46. Unfortunately as I’m from Canada they don’t text. And only found it 3 hours later. Didn’t overly complain as I probably needed the relaxation. Room was updated. Nice surprise. The preferred room is a great location to the skyliner and lobby and buses which was great. Food in the food court was okay. Had a few things. Nothing to rave about but was your basic food. Portions were a good size and a decent value. Got to meet characters in the lobby which was a nice surprise. The buses to the other parks were prompt. The staff in the store were very friendly and helpful. For a value resort it’s perfect. The skyliner is definitely a game changer. I would highly recommend staying here if a value resort is what your looking for.

We always stay here. Prices are decent. Food court has a large selection for the kids with salads for adults. Pools are clean and well maintained. Rooms with the Murphy bed makes it easy to spend time in the room if needed. Love being close to grad the Gondolas.

I liked the feel when I First came in Oct of 22. Came for MNSSHP party. I was further out in the 90's building. A bit of a walk, but not as much noise. I came back in March of this year for my birthday as a Solo trip. I unfortunately had to deal with fighting neighbors first 2 nights there. First night was above me and next night to my left. I heard the poor kid in the room crying. I booked during spring break. So my room wasn't ready. I had to check back 2 1/2 hrs later to see if it was ready. I went across to AOA and went to their shop while waiting. When I got my room around 7pm, i put my things in to go to Disney spring. This was directly after landing from the airport. I got the preferred room for my birthday trip, but half the ports in the room didn't work. Mousekeeping cleaned my room 5 of the 8 days I was there. Main complaint was the bed sheets. Not that it wasn't clean, but itchy. Internet worked great, no problems there. Plan on doing a return trip with group next year. I did get comped for breakfast on my birthday. I booked this value resort to get skyliner access. I can't see myself paying more than I did here for a room. Front desk did take care of the neighbors. Still ruined the mood, no fault of the resort. Walls are thin, so you will hear shoes dropping and showers going. I would stay here again, I had no major issues. Food court pizza tends to be too chewy though. Buy the mug to get free drings for your stay. $21.99 last checked, good for 14 days. Can't pass up free transportation to the theme parks by bus or skyliner. Never got stuck on skyliner. Even more lovely at night.

We stayed at the Pop Century for 10 nights in July 2023 and everyone in our family became dreadfully ill which ruined most of our vacation. The room was disgustingly dirty, they didn't change the linen on a regular bases, if at all until I demanded it and the pillows are so old, without covers and likely filled with numerous bacterias. Even after assuring us our bedding would be replaced one day, it was never done. They made it look like it had been however, I placed small stickers on the sheets and inside the pillow cases just to make sure they had been changed (well the hadn't). They didn't sanitize any area of the room while we were there until I demanded it as well. We had become so sick because of the stale air and dust we were sleeping in. We're a well traveled family and have stayed in many various hotel chains. This resort was the absolute worst I've ever seen. Disney showed absolutley no regard for guests health. The beds are hard and one sits higher than the other making it a challenge to climb up onto without rolling back off the bed. The walls and ceilings are so thin we could literally hear the people above us taking a pee in their toilet as if they were in the same room with us. They ignored the plugged bathroom sink (even though I hadn't reported it, housekeeping (if they would actually clean the sink) would have realized it was plugged. The floors had never been moped during our entire stay. We took a wet cloth to wipe a non-traffic area just to see how dirty the floor was and the cloth turned from white to black. The cafeteria style restaurant provides mostly fast food junk food (pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, pasta dish (with meatballs and diced tomatoes - not a tomato sauce and no seasoning) had no taste and the pasta was pre-cooked and re-warmed in hot water all you could really taste was the starch from the pasta. Breakfast was always cold eggs, cold hard waffles and sausages. After a few days of eating what was literally garbage unhealthy foods, we went for the premade over priced salads that were hurting. Fresh fruit cups at $6-$8 were old and often found bad. The bakery items were so-so, hit and miss depending on how many days old they were. Some staff were friendly and attentive, but most staff were miserable didn't look happy with their jobs and acted as if they couldn't care less what you had to say. Such a huge difference since our last vacation to Disney 10 years ago. The parks and how they've become a total scam is another review. Needless to say, after vacationing at Disney over the past 40 years, we'll never go back. There are many other places in this world to vacation and Disney is no longer one of them for us.

We stayed at PopCentury on 7/17 for 1 night. The last time here was over 15 years ago when the resort was a bit newer. Now the resort is showing its age and has a few issues that make it sub-par for today’s market, especially at the price they are asking. The good things, the hotel is in the Disney bubble, so easy to get to the parks, especially with the skyliner (more later on this), and the check-in experience was good - fast and easy although I did have to wait in line for 10 minutes. The not so good, room only scored 2.5/5 on my cleanliness scale - counters had stuck on food, hairs from other guests on counters and in-grained dirt around power outlets. Towels were atrocious - tatty and grubby with lots of marks and stains. We did not use them. Apparently, now COVID is done basic hygiene is not a thing here anymore. Other than that the room set-up was OK, benefitting from the recent refit. Strangely the bed linen was OK, and the pillows smelled fresh. The other thing that really annoyed me was that the fridge was only a cooler which is OK for keeping drinks cool, but no good for things like baby formula. There was a sticker on the fridge to call reception if this would be an issue but this seemed needlessly cheap. The stairwells were covered in black mold and did not look like they had been cleaned in a while. The other annoying thing is that the carts the room cleaners had carrying towels to the rooms were almost toppling over with towels and exposed to the outside elements as they worked their way around the resort. The on-site cafeteria had good prices but the food quality ranged from OK to nasty. Family pizza was reasonable value for $20, but the pastry I had in the morning tasted like it was 3 days old - it was so bad I could not eat it. Also, the cashier who is handling cash also hands you the cup for coffee and puts the lid inside the cup. Disney, did you learn nothing during COVID? People handling cash should not be touching anything related to food or utensils. On the topic of the skyliner, if you go in summer, there will be a storm every afternoon that will shut the skyliner down for an hour. Then you have to take a bus. Because you have to wait for cameras to notice you at the bus stop and call a bus from another route, you may have a bit of a wait. And if Skyliner starts up, you won’t get a bus at all. So you end up running between the bus stop and skyliner. One final point on cost - for the price of a preferred room at Pop C on the night we stayed, you could have stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando for the same price or had a suite at Swan Reserve (Marriott) for only $100 more. And the Swan Reserve is in the Disney bubble too. Overall, Pop Century did not impress and you’re getting a less than Motel 6 experience at a proper hotel price, Therefore I do not recommend and will not return.

Hotel is a value resort but it is all about the skyway access direct from the resort. The best value at Walt Disney World. Hotel rooms are just ok but the lobby and food court are exceptional. If Disney studios is on the agenda this resort is a must stay

Where do I start. This is possibly the most dissatisfying and disappointing vacation I’ve had in a long time. Standby because this one will be a long one. Starting off, we arrived on a Sunday to the Pop Century Resort. The pictures online made it look like it was an upscale resort, this is the farthest from the truth. The entire place has a vibe that it was made in the 60s-70s, and it wasn’t because they were trying for it to seem like that. The resort itself, to the cafeteria, to the pools, to the grounds just scream low end hotel/motel. On the way to the room we observed puddles of water that turned into small streams due to the poor irrigation system throughout the resort. We arrived at our building (70s) and was greeted by an elevator that looked like it had seen better years. It cracked and popped when it opened and a rush of hot air, even hotter than the air outside, rushed your face when walking in. Remember, it’s approximately 85-95 degrees easily on any day in Florida. The elevator must have easily been 110 degrees if not worse due to it not having air conditioning. The way to the 4th floor felt like forever in a sauna of heat and mugginess. Once we arrived at our room, I was almost speechless. The room itself reminded you of a room that you’d find in a small town off the interstate for about $40 a night. One bed was stationary, to other folded down from the wall. Both beds were severely uncomfortable and killed my back. I understand why one bed folded up! With both beds down, the room wasn’t big enough for one grown adult to walk around comfortably. I banged my shin on the wooded edge of the bed about twice a day. I’m still severely bruised and will be feeling it for an unknown amount of time to come. The sink area was small. The bathroom was absolutely atrocious. The toilet was to close to the wall, making you feel compact while trying to relieve yourself. Mr Mickey Mouse sure did know how to pick the 200 grit sand paper, I mean toilet paper. You could read through it and it made me raw all week. It’s an absolute shame on the quality of toilet paper you received. Stay tuned on the toilet, me and it became really good friends over the next few days, but I don’t want to spoil to much of the surprise to come! The shower was a two piece glass sliding door that leaked into the bathroom floor. The shower was an absolute death trap. When stepping in, the floor was as slick as a bath tub, catching me by surprise during the first use. While showering my toddler, he slipped and hit his rib cage on the shower entry, severely bruising him. We actually thought he had broken a rib but he ended up with a severe bruise and laceration. At first I thought the TV looked nice, WRONG! The TV would not stream YouTube and would stop streaming Netflix every 20 minutes on the dot and would make me reconnect. The TV itself stopped working for hours on end 3 days of our 5 night stay. I would have to physically unplug everything and plug it back in for it to start working again. At one point it was stuck on the loading screen with the 70s “cornO” music in the background. I don’t believe I will ever get that rift out of my mind now. The walls were paper thin and you could literally hear full conversations that were being had in each room that surrounded you. A baby screaming sounded like they was in the room with you. A banging on the wall would wake you up in the middle of the night. Their is a plastic sign in the room that stated something along the lines of “don’t state personal information or financial information while in the room”. This caught me off guard at first but now I know why, you could literally hear a pin drop in the other room. Literally while I am typing this, something is banging on the wall behind me, shaking my bed, and a child screaming in front of me. It’s 11:30 at night. That being said, overall the room had a cheap cheap hotel vibe and for the $3, 000 price we paid for 5 night stay, it was absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. Following up, the cafeteria had some of the worst food I’ve ever ate in my life. We on
