I loved this place! I literally ate here every night while on vacation. The hot beef extra dipped with hot peppers called to me. The chocolate cake shake was really rich and delicious. Can't wait to get back to another Portillo's

I've always had great experiences here. My family are meat eaters and love the beef sandwiches, dogs and burgers.(Shakes, too.) love it because I'm the only one who doesn't eat meat and there aren't many fast food places I can go with them and still get something I actually love and look forward to. I love their veggie dogs Chicago style. Went tonight and had a great experience with friendly staff, too.

Food is delicious. Hotdogs, cheese fries, beefs, chicken tenders, shakes, strawberry shortcake, chocolate cake, and cheeseburgers are terrific. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I wish they started selling breakfast here.

I don't know how a portillos in Chicago tastes, but I enjoyed the food here. I got an Italian beef sandwich, slightly wealthy with sweet and hot peppers. It was really good. The bread was the right amount of soggy and the meat, peppers, and cheese worked well together. I got the smaller one because we got fries and onion rings and a chocolate cake shake too. I would of eaten the bigger one cause it was that good but I wasn't still hungry after the smaller one. The fries and onion rings had nothing special to them. Should of opted for cheese sauce. BUT, they were hot, fresh, and crispy. So a win in my book. Kids got burgers, they liked them. Looked good to me. Nothing special, but fresh, a decent size, basic burger. The chocolate cake shake was something I definitely wouldn't normally get, but you know Fluffy talked about it, so we wanted to try. One and done for me. Good though, just felt like 3000 calories in a cup. I liked that the kiosk you order from didn't request a tip, too many do nowadays. I am not sure they even accept tips. The only issues I had was that I couldn't hear our number called and it's like a 40-50 minute drive to get there. Put one closer! Nice clean fast food. Would definitely recommend.

Great food and delicious steak sandwich. The deserts were a huge hit so definitely make room for it! Very fast and efficient and absolutely delicious!

One of the worst burgers I’ve had, the bottom bun was full of grease, and so soggy just fell apart. The patty was hard, overcooked, and the food is so salty it almost burns to eat. The only reason a place will add so much salt to their food is that they don’t know how to make it have flavor any other way. I do have to say, though their chocolate cake is most excellent.

I love portillos, i am from Chicago, I have reviewed Portillo over there, the food is great, but somehow its quiet expensive here, I spend 22 dollars just for double cheeseburger meal. Maybe it’s inflation idk.
