This is my #1 dine-in restaurant at Disney World. Every time I go on vacation to Disney, I make sure to snag a res here. It is so fun and kitschy but also the food is bomb! I usually get the dip, a vegan burger, and never skip the vegan ice cream sundae! My sister and I share them because they're so big!
No doubt dining in a drive-in is beyond fun, and it's always nice to sit down and relax in the air conditioning during a Disney day. But also the food is SO good. We adored the Impossible Nachos and Impossible Burger. The "tables" are cramped but workable. It's a drive-in, so it's dark, and we need to use our phones for light, but again... all part of the experience. Great food, great atmosphere.
This was so fun!! Very nice place to cool down and relax. Loved the shake and the nachos.
This place is totally an experience and I loved it!! The food was great! We had the impossible nachos, the impossible burger and an Oreo shake. Our server also brought us vegan cookies because someone else in our “car” (not our party) was having a celebration. I loved this place and highly recommend
Great idea for the drive thru theater theme
But
1. After checking in for the reservation we waited extra 20-30 mins (they told us they were running late like 10 mins)
2. Seats were super close to the other parties nearby, also pretty tight, the ac was for sure on and doing more than what it should! It was freezing in there.
3. Interesting server, couldn’t find my bday on my id (could be because of dim light) to confirm if I was legal to drink, and so just kept questioning me with a weird attitude
4. Me and the table in-front of us order the same time and same thing! But they almost already finish their food and I was still waiting
5. Food was mid compare to Epcot :/
Overall this place is just overrated

Had a fun experience here at this restaurant. It's a drive-in movie theater experience with some delicious foods. I got the Bánh Mì Burger, which tasted delicious. Although it was a bit too salty so I paired it with an Oreo Milkshake, and that was a delicious drink.
Overall, it's a nice place to grab lunch or an early dinner and get away from that blazing sun and restore your energy. Our waitress was also incredibly friendly and nice and super helpful when we said that we had a scheduled appointment to the Cantina in Star Wars world, so she was quick with the food and also bill.
Kid-friendliness: Very kids friendly with the car designed tables and fun atmosphere

Went here in August and before that back in 2016 . I remember going here as a kid and always loved the retro theming and old school movies. However, after this recent time we might not be back. Back in 2016 we waited 45 min for our reservation to be called. We're now in 2024 and the seating has gotten worse. We couldn't check in until all of our party arrived. After they did I went up giving my name and saying we were all here. After waiting 30 min we were still not called. The host explained they were running 15-20 min behind. We realized that we had been waiting more then that and returned to the host asking for an update. It turns out the other host didn't check us in and put us down as a NO SHOW. The host called her manager and explained the situation. We were seated within 5 min but had to sit at one of the cars that faced AWAY from the screen. If we didn't we would have had to wait an additional 15 min. Overall, the stress of this place isn't worth it. I'm really disappointed by our past two experiences because I love the theming so much. Not sure when we will back at Disney but we most likely won't return to Sci-Fi diner. :(
Kid-friendliness: Went with a 7 and 3 year old. They thought it was fun.

I have been a huge Orlando fan of Walt Disney world & its parks for over 35 years, & have been pretty much everywhere in Disney. Though I hate to leave a really negative review, I feel the experience of this Sci-Fi Dine-In was aweful, especially given the terrible quality of the food & I just feel its my duty to warn families with kids to avoid this place at all cost & eat anywhere else in the park! 1st, it was day 2 of celebrating our anniversary, & they were aware! Even though many front seats were available in their movie cars, they stuck us way in the back, in a 2nd seat of a car that you can barely fit in. Its a squeeze & I am a size 10 lady with shorter legs. We rejected the seats & asked to wait for the front seating in a car. After 10 min we got our seats. You neighbors are right up behind you, peering into your back as the cars are undersized & meant to fit kids. There were 3 big men behind us & 1 was literally sitting 1/2 way in the car seat! The cars counter table top is about the 1/2 size of a tray, the lighting is sooooo low that you can barely visibly see what food you are eating!! Next is the show which were a select few science fiction shorts that run about every 45 mins. Terrible content that only your great grandmother will recall, I was expecting more since its Disney, oh noooo. Next the food, I think its all about the burgers. We got the caesar salad, spinach dip & onion rings. Had 2 return onion rings that were very cold, salad bread was poor, salad was just plain ok, spinach dip was very runny & salty, & we couldn't even see our food 2 eat or cut up the salad!! Our waitress was very sweet & seemed on time 2 serve us. We just wanted to eat & leave the place. Really seems Disney gave this place no creative thinking & just trying to squeeze food$$$ out of families, such a disgrace! Do yourself a favor & eat at the restaurant next to it, The Commissary or the Backlot Express if you are ok with fastfood. Of course the food is also at least 2x overpriced, but if you know Disney, plan on overpaying for fastfood that is mediocre!

Brilliant meal out during our disney holiday - one of our favourites and great fun. You are in the dark with tom and jerry cartoons on whilst you and the kids enjoy burger, chips and milkshakes. 5/5

Seated 30 minutes after reservation time. Horrible server, forgot our milkshake we ordered. It was not listed on our itemized check so I thought she comped it. After she brought back my card I saw she readed it. Atmosphere was cool and the burger was good. Everything else was an immense let down. Got our food and hour after our reservation time. Service sucked and was slow.

A really fun and affordable thematic diner for all the family.
I came here during my trip to Hollywood studios and was really impressed by the dining area.
Without giving too much away, I felt like I was enjoying my dinner at an American drive in cinema.
The lighting, sound, props all felt really immersive and the service by Chase was brilliant!
Food options were mostly burgers, nachos, fries, etc but all good food for the price! The “Impossible” burger and nachos were good options for those that don’t eat meat.
Wheelchair accessibility: Some of the cars are longer and have tables on the side that you can park into or transfer into.

We really enjoyed dining here. Classic drive in/diner fare with burgers and sandwiches. The fried pickles were so good.
Kid-friendliness: Kids menus with crayons and funny movie clips on the big screen. They have boosters.

What a mess to even try to get in, we better go somewhere else.
Having people on the floor, waiting to know if they will be able to enter is not what one expects from a place like this.
I just loved the experience!!. Great service. Amazing place!.

Great quiet, air-conditioned place to reset. Nice and dark “drive-in” theater with booths that are shaped like classic cars. Our server was great as well. But, the food was all around pretty bad. Zero flavor whatsoever- the burgers, chicken salad, and mac-n-cheese were all kinda gross. They looked fine but had literally zero flavor.
This was our third visit. Unfortunately, the food is just not as good as it used to be here…
