Excellent barbecue. The chicken is the best smoked chicken I've ever had. I do recommend the dark over the white but both were good. Hubby loved the pulled pork. We bought extra to have during our last week here. Sweet potato was great. Mac & cheese tasted like a convenience product to me (I spent many years working in food service) but I think most people would like it better than I did.

On Friday the 13th my wife and I visited Oakwood for the first time in Lady Lake. We both ordered the Combo Dinner. Wife's meal was Chicken and Baby back ribs. The chicken was bigger than a Quail but smaller than a Pigeon and the ribs had absolutely no meat on them. My meal was grilled chicken breast and baby back ribs. The grilled chicken breast was precut frozen type that was nasty. The ribs had no meat on them. We would have returned the meals but felt uncomfortable because the people we were with choose to go to Oakwood. We came home and cooked dinner. total waste of 45.00. We would never return.

Going here for many years Had the ribs tonight and they had no taste. I suspect they were boiled. Didn’t look like they were smoked at all. They were lukewarm. Very disappointing. Place was very crowded. Cutting corners on the preparation….
