I have visited Stir a few times. It is located in the lobby on the second floor; close to the front & concierge desks. The Swan Reserve is a beautiful, “autograph collection” hotel -as part of the Marriott Brand. The aesthetics of the lounge is modern and rings true to the surrounding beauty. Unfortunately for me, service fell flatter than a crepe pancake on each of my visits. The price of the spirits are greater than anywhere else in the immediately surrounding hotel lounges as well as, the Boardwalk area. On my last visit, I asked the bar tender who sets the pricing and his response was curt and unfriendly: “not me and well above my pay grade” as he sauntered away. Yikes. IMO, the outdoor lounge called “Tangerine Lounge” abuts Stir and the staff makes you feel truly welcome. Different drink menu and prices are competitive.

We arrived just after closing time, soaking wet from walking in the rain from another hotel, and were so disappointed to find the restaurant had closed even though it said online they were open until midnight. Thankfully, we were greeted by the most incredible bartender, Steven, who went out of his way to speak with the kitchen—and they graciously accommodated us. He completely turned our night around, and the experience was so amazing that we came back again the next night.
The calamari was unbelievably tender—easily one of the best we’ve ever had. The desserts were on a whole other level, with unique flavors and textures you rarely find anywhere else. We travel often and eat out a lot, and this was truly something special. The hummus was delicious, and the warm pita bread was clearly fresh and far from your typical store-bought version.
Steven’s kindness and hospitality truly made our entire experience unforgettable.

Fantastic service Heriberto was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, cool to talk to and made a fantastic drink. My smoked old fashioned was delicious and the ambiance was very classy with a nice relaxing vibe. I will definitely be a repeat customer and recommend this lounge to my friends.

Drink was delicious but one of the male bartenders with shaved sides wasn’t pleasant, looked very serious and was dry. Didn’t make me feel welcomed and I felt uncomfortable to even ask him for a drink. I’m sure he’s a good person but he didn’t even crack a smile.

By default we had to drink here since our rooms wwrr not ready till 8pm. Very low key with not a big selection of beer!

Amazing drinks! The bartenders were extremelyKnowledgeable on the drinks and very friendly. To find this bar, walk in the main entrance and head to the right for the escalators. The bar will be right there. Feel free to tell the bartender you want to go outside with the drinks and they will put it in a plastic cup for you. Outside deck is great with the pool and outdoor bar but don’t except to see any great views.
