The food here is always very good. The style of cooking and dishes served have a true country flair. The restaurant is always busy any time I've been there. Usually between 10 am and 2 pm. However, if you have to wait for a seat inside, it is not more than 10 minutes. There is plenty of outside seating available on the covered porch. Inside has a good mis of tables and booths. I always check out Pinterest to see what to do and where to eat when I’m in a new town. Shirley’s was highly recommended and I would have to agree. Plenty of seating inside and out. I had a Western omelette w grits which was quite yummy. The price was reasonable. Service was quick and friendly. They checked on me frequently to see if I needed anything and even gave me a soda for the road. I’m looking forward to trying their meatloaf later in the week 😋
Old school rustic restaurant, great service, great prices, great food. Menue changes often allowing new things every day, but the tried and tried are always available. Great stop while I'm in lake city
