To be fair, I am not much of a sushi person but my husband is. Whenever we go out for sushi, I always get a bento box and tempura. I had the miso soup, Hibachi chicken, rice and veggies, seaweed salad and tempura.
Overall the flavor of the food and sauces were just okay. I love tempura and unfortunately for me it wasn't very crisp, and the shrimp tempura had veins in it, which I did not experience at Yamato's in Wesley Chapel.
I hear people really enjoy the sushi here at Mikado, and if that is what you are coming for then I do encourage you to try it out. As for me, I think I will stick with the bento box at Yamatos.

Great place for sushi!! Attentive staff, good variety of rolls, happy hour prices are very original and affordable, perfect place to often visit, will not be dissapointed!!!

The sushi rolls are fresh and delicious. I enjoy eating here when I visit friends in Florida and it's always great. Prices aren't bad either. Service is friendly and quick.

It's the only restaurant in the area where we can get authentic Tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) like in Tokyo, Japan. It has real flavor!

The restaurant is very cheap but great quality food. The service/staff are very polite and friendly. The interior is great. I would just love if they had a non pork ramen.

Ive been a customer for close to 2 years now at this restaurant. I came in today, bringing them new clientele & was met the most disappointing server. From the start, being asked what drinks they have had seemed to be an inconvenience & annoyed my server. Continuing, at time to order, normal questions like “what kinds of soups do you have?” “Can I change my side to something else?” “What size is the stake?” seemed funny to him & he even sarcastically laughed in our faces several times. This behavior is very unprofessional & disgusting as I am a consistent customer there & recommend this spot to others all the time. At the end after announcing to the lady at the front desk entrance I will not continue having my dinner here, I asked what the name of my server was and very noticeably she lied about the name. Very disappointing from one of my fav old spots.

Japanese is NOT like Chinese if you’re expecting that. It’s delicious beyond words! Different noodles, and vegetables all wonderful! Their chef is wonderful!! And the best selection of sushi around!
