When you need a refreshment in central Florida, stop in the Morty & Edna’s - Great food, friendly service and you will be in your happy place as soon as you open the door.

Limited menu, but anything on it is a slam dunk. Whatever you do, gotta try the bacon here. It's totally off the chain.

Went for breakfast, everything was delicious.

This quaint restaurant is nestled in between other local businesses with Journal Plaza in Lake Placid. They feature a unique take on brunch with a cozy atmosphere donning a rustic look.

Feel free to write a friendly hello on their blackboard curiously setup inside their bathroom before venturing outside onto the astroturfed courtyard to watch a film projection.

Overall a great little place to meet up for a quick bite.

2 of us Went on Monday morning at 9:30. Party of 5 sitting at a table and us. 5 employees behind the counter talking and laughing. 18 min later our coffee was brought to us, cafe con leche had no flavor at all. Service was terrible, food was not the same as old owners , we weren’t impressed.

We had the biscuits & gravy…my toddler ate it up! The place is so fun & yummy…reminds me of Chattanooga & places there. We are so blessed to have a place this delicious with such a unique setting. I’d recommend everyone give it a go just once…it will become one of your favorite haunts!

Absolutely my favorite place to go for breakfast and lunch. Everyone we have ever taken to M&E says the same thing. Decor is beautiful, staff are super friendly and hard working. All the baked goods/muffins are ridiculous. We truly look forward to going to M&E every weekend. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have an amazing dinning experience.

Nice eclectic spot in downtown Lake Placid. Tasty meatball sub, loved the canoa (fried whole ripe plantain) stuffed with saucy ground beef and topped with cheese on a bed of rice. A side of beans over the rice would have made this dish superb! Lovely waitresses.

I have eaten here MANY times in the past and enjoyed it, until today! The owner refused me service because I have a medical alert service dog who is worn on my body in a sling according to ADA rules, so that she can task. She is fully trained, attends medical appointments with me and has been with me in the hospital. This is NOT a fake. Because of the discriminatory, rude, and humiliating treatment I received I would encourage everyone to try some of our other restaurants who treat their customers with courtesy, respect, and kindness.

Great food. BLT with chicken and avocado is absolutely fantastic.
