If you’re looking for the most authentic Greek dining experience in South Florida, look no further than Chris Taverna in Lake Worth. From the moment we sat down, everything was spot-on. The pita bread was incredibly fresh, and their sauces delicious….and the octopus was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully grilled. The Greek salad was crisp and well-balanced, just like it should be.
We ordered the Trio Platter, which included Moussaka, Pastitsio, and Spanakopita—a perfect way to sample their classics, and every bite was delicious. We paired our meal with Mythos beer, which complemented everything nicely. And don’t even get me started on the desserts—the homemade Baklava and Galaktoboureko were the perfect sweet finish.
To top it all off, our food arrived within 8 minutes, and the service was outstanding. Jordan and Angel went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about great service.
Without a doubt, Chris Taverna is the best Greek restaurant in South Florida. Can’t wait to go back!

We usually steer clear of Greek Restaurants because they rarely have traditional flavors that we are used to at home…Chris’ Taverna pleasantly surprised us and we chose to eat here twice during our trip! My daughter said she enjoyed the octopus more than she did in Greece! The food is plentiful and delicious! The shrimp saganaki is perfect and the meat platter is huge and delicious!

Wonderful authentic Greek food. Everything is usually very tasty, fresh, and they give decent portions. The service is always great and the servers are extremely upbeat and friendly. The atmosphere is just ok but the upbeat atmosphere, wonderful food and service make it a local Gem. It gets very crowded during prime times so call ahead. Large free parking lot but it gets very crowded also.

Not sure what tge hype is about the food. I ordered a gyro plate and the hummus was tasteless, literally no flavor. The tzatziki sauce tasted like mayo, not mych flavor in it either.
