Had an awful experience tonight, we definitely won’t be coming back. I explained to the server that my food tasted and smelled weird and she said that there was nothing she could do, there were other orders and that no one complained. She did not even try to rectify the mistake.
The rice tasted like it was rotten, and after taking a few bites I feel incredibly nauseous after.
I don’t think I have ever experienced such awful costumer service.

The pupusas are very delicious, in my case I loved the cheese one; very similar to Salvadoran cheese

I like I’m from el El Salvador and the pupusas from there and so good when I’m in there I feel I’m home
Music too loud, they can’t hear, ask for steak and they gave me chicken, rice beans, was wet rice not beans, French fries was soggy, . Very disappointed. The chicken was dry too, terrible food

El Carbonero is an outdoor eatery, very relaxed and laid back. I ordered tacos al pastor and 2 pupusas revueltas, my sister ordered beef soup and my daughter got a grilled hamburger. Lemme say the grilled burger was absolutely delicious,it's the best I've had in forever, meat was well seasoned and juicy. My pupusas reminded me of the ones I had as a child in Belize and my sisters soup was a hug in a bowl. Service was a little bit on the slow side even if it wasn't so busy. I also ordered a cold beer because it is an outside eatery and it was hot and I asked for a chilled beer mug and lemme say the mugs werr made for a giant, please have smaller mugs that make the drinker enjoy the beer and not let it be a workout with a bad arm/hand.

Tropical setting outdoor seating only, but there is always a breeze and the food is very delicious and very affordable. I love their pupusas con queso y loroco flowers which must be fresh! Tacos are great too. Lots of other plates to choose from.
Vegetarian options: Pupusa with cheese and loroco flower, or pupusa with cheese, comes with cabbage slaw and pickled onions.
