They let someone else take my pizza. Which, ok, mistakes happen. But then they forgot to make my replacement pizza. When I asked them about it, they told me it would be 10-15 minutes. I waited around the counter for 30 minutes with no pizza. Finally I asked, should I expect a pizza anytime soon ? And they said it would be another 10 minutes because instead of making a pizza to replace their mistake, they opted to refill the toppings station. So I asked for a refund, which to my dismay, did not include the tip I gave them. I basically waited an hr and 10 minutes to tip them on absolutely nothing.

I paid $44 for pizzas and when I got my pizzas one even cut. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch and only got chicken. What a rip off! This used to be good pizza. Then they cleaned house for some reason and got new staff. If it’s not broke then don’t fix it!!! I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because the joinery is awesome, the pizza is not!

Place is disgusting, no manners at all! Was ignored on multiple occasions while trying to order pizza. Touching the food with no gloves! I seen a fat guy eat a piece of cheese with his bare hands! Then grab a pepperoni and eat it. What is going on here! Who ever is running this place doesn’t know what they’re doing. Close it down, pizza was burnt and tasted like cardboard!

We (myself, my two daughters and my nephew) got pizza while the rest of our family got other options. I shared the margarita and cheese pizzas with my girls and my nephew ate the cheeseburger pizza. We got three larges and when all was said and done there were only two pieces of cheese pizza left between the four of us.The bottom of my daughter’s cheese pizza was super black on the first round but they remade it for her no questions asked which was nice. That way she was able to eat some crust instead of just picking off the cheese which is what I saw her doing before I saw that the bottom was all black.Kid-friendliness: Replaced our cheese pizza that was burnt on the bottom

Really well done wood fired pizza. The cupped pepperoni was amazing along with great dough and sauce. Service was friendly and very quick being where it is the vibe is great with tons of people enjoying the whole area. Price wise it's ok at around $20-$25 for a large but the size of the pizzas could be bigger for the price.

I was surprised to see a low rating. The Bestia was so delicious. With all the ricotta and mozzarella, you get that mouth-watering cheese pull. The spicy sausage paired perfectly. The only recommendation, and it's a small one, is to use sourdough for the crust. The margarita pizza was also delicious. I added some pepperoni, and it was cooked just right. Despite the crowd, the service was pretty fast.

Pizza is always consistent, very tasty and the location is one of the best in Lakeland. I’m a bit surprised by the reviews as I’ve literally never had a bad meal or experience. So my challenge to anyone looking at this is to try it and tell me I’m wrong. ? Additionally, I leave this review as someone who eats in regularly in Tampa, Lakeland and Orlando so my points of reference are quite wide and varied.

OKAY, 5 STARS for the chicken bacon ranch pizza!!! I don't eat pizza often, and I prefer my pizza thinner and less greasy. I also love a personal sized pizza, so this was everything I wanted and more. I LOVED everything about this pizza. I thought it tasted delicious, the crust was great, and the ranch drizzle was the perfect amount for me. I have NO NOTES! This location is inside The Joinery, and I ordered about 12:15pm on a Friday. It didn't take long at all and came out hot. I haven't had Ava's pizza in awhile, but I think I'll be craving this exact pizza for the foreseeable future!
