Cafe Zuppina is temporarily closed. A friend placed an on line order a week ago Friday at 6pm which went through and was charged to her debit card even though they were closed. She went to pick up the order and the restaurant was not open. She has yet to receive a refund. The owner needs to update the website with the information that they are temporarily closed and turn off on line ordering.

Where are all these recent reviews coming from? My buddies and I went to check out their downtown location like a few of the others here have and when we went it said that they were closed until further notice. Like what? I thought yall were open already and I know that they couldn’t have been at the old location because I seen they posted they’ve been closed down since January

Cafe Zupina has very delicious, well made food. Unfortunately, since they moved to their new downtown location, we noticed a few things have changed. First off their prices have increased yet again, which we understand due to the economy & various reasons. What frustrates me the most is how difficult it is to make a reservation or even get ahold of anyone there. Every single time we’ve tried to call over the past few weeks, nobody answers the phone, it doesn’t even ring it just says that no calls can be taken at that time… I figured maybe the phone system was down. Their website that usually lets you place a to go order has now stopped working too. So in order to get any food or talk to anyone you have to drive to the location. Although it’s inconvenient we enjoy the food enough so my fiance drove down this afternoon at 4:50 to place an order and once he arrived there nobody was there but the online hours say they are open for dinner 4pm-9pm…. There is no way to know since their phones do not work so we wasted our time getting ready & driving there. They really need to update their google profile / social media information & provide a valid contact number. Based off other reviews it seems that other people have had the same issue, we hope it is resolved soon.

Greek/Middle Eastern. The food was delicious. I loved the stuffed grape leaves and the chicken lemon soup. I had the beef wellington. It was good. I can't wait to try other dishes.
Great restaurant and even better coffee and desserts. Dont miss the assortment of soups and cheeses for sale in the back marketplace section. A real gem for Lakeland!

Absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was amazing! The Aegean Salad was a first for me, very interesting and it won't be my last. The eggplant appetizer was cooked perfectly. The lamb kabobs and chops were extremely tender and tasteful. We've already made plans for our next visit. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive. No wonder this place is the Best of Lakeland.

We've wanted to try this place for a long time, finally had the opportunity to go. We'd read good reviews, and we were excited. We arrived at 8:12, and were told the kitchen is closing; the place closed at 9 according to what we read. We said we could order quickly, because we checked out the menu at home, we knew what we wanted. The young guy who met us said he'd ask the kitchen, came back in a minute and said there was no way. I pleaded our case, first time ever customers; no way. OK. There weren't very many diners in the place, and rest assured that there are now 2 more diners who won't go back, regardless of the good reviews. If closing the kitchen >45 minutes before the restaurant closes on a Saturday evening is more important than greeting new excited customers and providing a meal, then maybe you shouldn't be in this business. We will not go back, and will share our experience with other friends in Lakeland.
The food and service are always superb! Our favorites are the eggplant rolls and lamb kebab platter. Our favorite restaurant for sure and we love the downtown location.

The restaurant was able to take our fairly large group on short notice which we greatly appreciated. The server was hopeful with regards to the menu, explaining some of the dishes, and indicating what dishes they were currently out of. The baked hummus was amazing. Unfortunately, some of the other meals were overdone, with my chicken being burnt on several edges. Still, it was a fun experience, and I think I will be back for more baked hummus.
Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance was easily accessible. Handicap parking was available across the street, but none really close to the restaurant. I did not use the restroom so I cannot make any statements about its accessibility.
