We live about 1 hour from Lakeland. We were going to go to another restaurant to eat, but the wait was over an hour. We decided to go to Mission BBQ since we haven't been here in over a year. So glad we did. The BBQ was outstanding. I did not like one of my sides and they had no problem switching it for me. The Blueberry cobbler was amazing. And with me being a Veteran and a retired Deputy Sheriff, I love the way they honor us.

Cyndi is the BEST!!! What an ANGEL! This particular MISSION BBQ in Lakeland is our family’s FAVORITE location in Florida! Today, we were happy to travel 1-hour & 45-minutes to eat at this establishment! The chefs prepare food for the soul, the staff are exceptionally hospitable, and the atmosphere is absolutely joyful! A lot of laughs are always shared, and we feel blessed with every visit! So, the food, people, and place are 100% worth the travel! Make this place your #1 place to dine! See you again soon! This was my first visit to Mission BBQ and Kyle was very welcoming. He patiently explained the menu and answered our questions. We were also impressed with Yaya. She was very friendly and made sure we were enjoying our meals. The food was great, but Kyle and Yaya both made our dinner experience even better with their friendly and helpful service.

Food is very nasty. It was old and I was served shredded rotisserie chicken instead of shredded chicken. my meats were cold
We truly love missing barbecue and always have a great experience. Every time we go this place was super friendly. The staff was great very prompt on our order. My wife went to the bathroom and by the time she returned it was ready. Also, it was New Year’s Eve. they were closing early. We got in 15 minutes before they were closing, and they still was happy to serve us with the smile thank you to the great staff at Mission barbecue
