Mootown Scoops is a super cute and adorable local ice cream shop with a nice, welcoming, cheery, and lovely vibe. The space is small but nice, with several tables inside and two outside. The aroma of freshly made waffle cones fills the shop. The staff is excellent, very nice, friendly, helpful, and delightful. They offer samples and are very kind.

The ice cream is delicious, excellent, yummy, rich, and creamy with a great texture that is firm and cold. There are a lot of yummy flavors, a nice selection, and a good assortment of super interesting options, including seasonal flavors like pumpkin and sweet corn blueberry. Specific items enjoyed include the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream on a waffle cone, a double espresso chip, and scoops of chocolate and mocha chip. The waffle cones are crisp and not overly sweet. Portions are plentiful and refreshingly generous; a single scoop is like a double elsewhere. A milkshake was noted to have an icy feeling, but kids' ice cream tasted fine.

Prices are extremely reasonable and good for what you get. The shop is very close to Lake Morton. It is a 10 out of 10, 5 out of 5 locally owned shop that customers love and highly recommend.
