B & B Chophouse and Market

Enjoyed our 25th anniversary dinner on Wednesday night - server was amazing and food was great.

In the past 6 or 7 years, (however long they've been open), B&B has evolved into a smoothly-run, welcoming, enjoyable dining experience. The bartenders, the service, the food, coupled with the Saturday evening entertainment really makes B&B a good place to be.

Hailey was our waitress, she was very friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic, and hey bourbon! Will be back and that right soon.

Love the food and wait staff. Hate the live music. I'd be here every weekend for steak and cocktails but the music is just not to my taste.

My server was great! The food was horrible I can't believe it I went here a few years ago and it was so good. The risotto had no flavor the butter I got with my lobster tasted like and looked like burned oil. My Caesar salad dressing was tart and not very good. My sisters filet mignon pasta tasted like dog meat. The wedge salad the rolls and the cheesecake was the only thing that was good so sad because we were celebrating but we know now that we won't be back so sad.

I think The Chop House would be a great bar scene for younger folks. It is quite noisy, even without live music, which made it impossible for a conversation. It was Prime Rib special night and it was very good, although quite salty. The wait staff was great and the food came out very quickly!

We always have a nice dinner at B& B! Great food, drinks and servers are courteous, attentive and friendly. One of our favorites restaurants close to our house in Lakewood Ranch!!

We have been to B and B multiple times and we always have a great meal and wonderful service. We stay for the piano bar duo. They are great fun Definitely recommend the restaurant. Overall a 5 star.

We did the Savor Sarasota menu which is a great value. $45 includes appetizer, main curse and dessert. There is a wide variety of both fish and meat dishes and all the food was cooked perfectly and very delicious. Service was super friendly and it was great experience overall.

I have been here quite a few times and have always enjoyed my dinning experience here. All was good except for the service. Our server to about 20 minutes to get to our table and when he did it wasn't to get a drink order, it was just to say hello and bring us some water, and then took off without asking us for a drink order. 15 minutes later we put our drink order in. Anyway, this was basically how the service went throughout the night.

Our service was excellent I am sorry that I do not remember our servers name but she was absolutely the best she had dark hair looked like it was up with a hair clip but the noise level was terrible we could not even hear ourselves talk

We have been to B&B at least 5 times in the past 6 months, but I have to say I have been disappointed the last few times & last night was not up to the standards I would expect. We had the Diane's Wagyu & Braised Short Rib Tomahawk, two dishes we have had in the past & loved, and both were not great. Diane's wagyu was a bad cut of meat, and I didn't even finish it. I probably should have sent it back. The Short Rib was dry and flavorless, while it usually is a melt in your mouth dish. Service was just OK. I regret not highlighting these issues immediately after the dishes were served. We'll take a break from B&B for a few months and see if this is a trend.

The filet was too tough to eat. Manager never came to table. Although uneaten the server said the manager only authorized a 25% discount. Horrible experience. Will never go back, but they’ll probably go out of business anyway

Update 7/20/25. Snacks and drinks at the bar. Citrus cosmo was delicious. I had Blantons bourbon, reasonably priced and hard to find. The charcuterie board was great. Bartender Aubrey was engaging. They try hard to make you feel welcome.

Original review: We had a terrific experience sitting at the bar. Larry the bartender was awesome. We had snacks, roasted tomato with blue cheese and the carpaccio. Very tasty. B&B strikes me as a very well managed restaurant. We'll go back soon for a steak dinner.

B&B is always in point. Food and service is great. We were pleasantly surprised they extended Savor Sarasota. Great 3 course option. Get in there while it lasts.
