B & B Chophouse and Market

We always have a nice dinner at B& B! Great food, drinks and servers are courteous, attentive and friendly. One of our favorites restaurants close to our house in Lakewood Ranch!!

We have been to B and B multiple times and we always have a great meal and wonderful service. We stay for the piano bar duo. They are great fun Definitely recommend the restaurant. Overall a 5 star.

We did the Savor Sarasota menu which is a great value. $45 includes appetizer, main curse and dessert. There is a wide variety of both fish and meat dishes and all the food was cooked perfectly and very delicious. Service was super friendly and it was great experience overall.

I have been here quite a few times and have always enjoyed my dinning experience here. All was good except for the service. Our server to about 20 minutes to get to our table and when he did it wasn't to get a drink order, it was just to say hello and bring us some water, and then took off without asking us for a drink order. 15 minutes later we put our drink order in. Anyway, this was basically how the service went throughout the night.

Our service was excellent I am sorry that I do not remember our servers name but she was absolutely the best she had dark hair looked like it was up with a hair clip but the noise level was terrible we could not even hear ourselves talk

We have been to B&B at least 5 times in the past 6 months, but I have to say I have been disappointed the last few times & last night was not up to the standards I would expect. We had the Diane's Wagyu & Braised Short Rib Tomahawk, two dishes we have had in the past & loved, and both were not great. Diane's wagyu was a bad cut of meat, and I didn't even finish it. I probably should have sent it back. The Short Rib was dry and flavorless, while it usually is a melt in your mouth dish. Service was just OK. I regret not highlighting these issues immediately after the dishes were served. We'll take a break from B&B for a few months and see if this is a trend.

The filet was too tough to eat. Manager never came to table. Although uneaten the server said the manager only authorized a 25% discount. Horrible experience. Will never go back, but they’ll probably go out of business anyway

Update 7/20/25. Snacks and drinks at the bar. Citrus cosmo was delicious. I had Blantons bourbon, reasonably priced and hard to find. The charcuterie board was great. Bartender Aubrey was engaging. They try hard to make you feel welcome.

Original review: We had a terrific experience sitting at the bar. Larry the bartender was awesome. We had snacks, roasted tomato with blue cheese and the carpaccio. Very tasty. B&B strikes me as a very well managed restaurant. We'll go back soon for a steak dinner.

B&B is always in point. Food and service is great. We were pleasantly surprised they extended Savor Sarasota. Great 3 course option. Get in there while it lasts.

I love how this place is hidden!!! We were celebrating our anniversary and they even brought out a celebratory dessert--bread pudding with ice cream!! It was yummy! The service was great and the food was good too!! We will definitely be back!! Husband ordered the Cowboy Ribeye and I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta... The pasta had very little shrimp, but it was tasty! It was huge!!

We have been dining here since it opened years ago and have enjoyed it every time! The staff, especially Kit and Kevin, are all amazing and so friendly and helpful. The food is always fresh, high quality and delicious! Wonderful atmosphere - laid back, a tad rustic, and elegance without pretentiousness. We have celebrated many birthdays here and bought out of town guests, who are equally impressed with the staff and the food. Great selection of bourbons. The happy hour has some nice deals and is very popular. Highly recommend over the chain steakhouses.

Excellent service by our sevice, she was AWESOME!!! THE primarily dinner was very goid...enjoyed. The house Pinot Griogo was tasteful too. Great booth location- #32.

We went to this restaurant for my son's birthday, and it wasn't busy at all. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for our food to come out. Some dishes were undercooked, and others were overcooked, making the whole meal feel way too pricey for what we got.

Getting our server to stop by our table was tough, and even after the food arrived, we didn’t have any silverware. We had to go to the hostess stand and ask for utensils ourselves. One of the dishes was so undercooked that we had to send it back. They brought us a new plate, but it was still undercooked.

I don’t know if they were just having a rough day, but I’m not going to waste my money there again to find out.
