I recently moved to the Bradenton, Florida area and once I found out that there was a Skyline Chili nearby I had to go get me some of that wonderful Cincinnati Chili.It has been at least 8 years since I've walked into a Skyline Chili restaurant. They're pretty much the same since most of them feature memorable of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.The one in Lakewood Ranch looks like the typical modern day version of Skyline Chili(as a kid I would eat at the one downtown Hamilton, Ohio that looked like it was set in the 1940s).Parking: Shared parking in a shopping center.Kid-friendliness: I've been eating Skyline Chili since I was a kid in the early 1980's. So I know kids of all ages would enjoy eating Skyline.

Had to make the trip from Port Charlotte today. Just be aware that this location offers other Cincinnati favorites. The list.....lol1. 3way and a 3way to go both with extreme cheese.2. Small 3way3. 1 cheese coney with extreme cheese.4. Buffalo chicken wrap5. 3 pints of Graeters ice cream6. 4 deconstructed cheese conveys to go7. Some Grippos BBQ chips.8. 1 bottle of hot sauce.9. Put name on the list for the Gliers goetta order.Always a great experience!!!

Wow!! This was a pleasant surprise. I did not expect to be this impressed with such a simple concept. I’m not a big hot dog fan but I absolutely loved it!! The service was great as well as the food. The habanero cheese was prolly the best cheese I’ve ever had. We will be back a million times over!

An Ohio institution that finally has come to the Sarasota area! Great, unique food. We like the chili bowl with hot dogs best. Downside - it's pricey. Oddly, they have my favorite salad- the Buffalo Chicken! We visited again today, July 7, 2022, and this time I had what they're famous for, and my husband always gets- their chili cheese conis. They're good. Tons of shredded cheddar cheese. The hot dog is small. Pricey, and it has gone up.10/13/22 Same great food and service.12/21/22 Same great food and service.3/1/23 I had their spaghetti chili with 2 hotdogs. It was great, but still ridiculously overpriced.5/11/23 I had their 3-way chili with their spaghetti, which is my new favorite. Server TJ was fabulous, as usual. 7/19/23 Had their new Yett coney dog. It was really good! Fortunately, I had a coupon for that. Jeez, they already wiped out their Yett coney dog! Really???? I REALLY liked that. Dang. I guess it's back to the 3-way coney dog...12/7/23 Another great visit. 2/15/24 This time I had what I used to have all the time- their Buffalo Chicken Salad with blue cheese dressing. I ask for extra sauce, because it's dry without it. It's the lowest calorie thing on the menu, and it's really good.

This was a very nice surprise. I love Skyline Chili but had no idea they had stores in Florida. This was a very nice treat for our trip.Service was great. Food was wonderful.The only negative is the parking. There is parking but not a whole lot of convenient parking.Glad Skyline is in Florida.Parking: They have a few parking space to the side of the building but most of the parking is behind the shopping center. Not very convenient. We did find a place to. The spaces seem a little small.
