We ate here for the first time this evening and were so impressed with the food and the amazing customer service. We had our toddler with us and all of the employees were so kind. They interacted with our daughter, checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything, and made sure to ask about our experience. I would highly recommend this for a chill evening to have drinks or a family friendly dinner. Thanks for your patience and kindness. We will be back!

Everything was spicy. The Mac and cheese was spicy, all the sauces were spicy, the meat was spicy. The blueberry/ peach cobbler had so much cinnamon that’s all I could taste. So if you like spicy food, this place is for you. The service was good, atmosphere was nice. But because there’s not much contrast from just overall spicy, I’ll go to another bbq place when craving bbq in this area.

We heard great things about Twisted Pit BBQ so wanted to try it. The food was great. My husband is a self-proclaimed BBQ pro and he won't go anywhere where he can't see and smell smoke...which he did. We tried a little of everything. The turkey was amazing! The ribs had a kick, and fell of the bone. We sat up at the bar and Kandice was very helpful. I felt a little bit like Norm from Cheers. Right at home!

We have been there twice already, and planning to go back. Tried most of their meats, and all were delicious! The sides were yummy too, as was the peach cobbler! My favorites were green beans and baked beans, and even as a corn-avoider, I still liked the street corn, which was a favorite for others. Free pickles and pickled onions were bomb! Service: very friendly and family-style. Atmosphere: informal, but modern and chill, for a pleasant lunch or a relaxed date.

Ate at Twisted Pit BBQ yesterday for the first time and overall experience are A++. All the foods, meat, sides and desert were delicious and price is very reasonable for the portion of serving, the taste and quality of foods and service. Chef and Co owner meet us at our table anf made sure everything is OK. You won't find that in most restaurant. They make us feel like a guest and not as customers. The foods are so yummy. Will go back for sure and will share with friends our dining experience with them. We left the restaurant full and happy. Also upon check out, they dont ask for tips and I read on other reviews that owners pay their staff in full which is nice. I think all restaurant owners should do the same. Never mind the bad reviews. None of those bad reviews reflected our dining experience. Its perfect and there is no negative but all positive experience. Can't make everyone happy but we are happy and can't wait to go back soon and more visits after. Thanks to the chef and co-owner for stopping by at our table yesterday.

This place is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and cozy. The brisket? out of this world, it was hands down one of the best I've ever had! Perfectly smoked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The ribs were equally fantastic, with just the right amount of smokiness and a savory BBQ sauce that complemented them perfectly.
The service was exceptional; the servers were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The Mac and cheese? Out of this world! Creamy, cheesy goodness that paired wonderfully with the meats.
In terms of value, Twisted Pit BBQ hits the mark. The prices are fair for the quality and portion sizes you get, it is a a Texas style BBQ so expect the portions to be weighed and you pay by the pound making it a exceptional dining experience that won't break the bank. Whether you're a BBQ expert or just looking for a great meal, I highly recommend Twisted Pit BBQ. Can't wait to go back for more!

Man, I hate to leave this review because we love Percocos, but we were so disappointed. First the ordering system..... first order your sides? Then order your desert? Then order your meats? Talk about backwards. Oh, meanwhile order a drink as you walk past the bar. Then it's all rung up together so you can't tip the bartender for the drink she made (which was very good). Okay, trying not to be fuddy-duddies, maybe we'll be blown away by the food. The pulled pork was just okay, the ribs were just okay, the brisket was the worst we've ever had, the street corn was excellent and coleslaw was interesting but decent. The sauces on the table were just not good. Forget that they weren't labeled and the poor girl had to come over and explain which one was which, but I've had better at nancy's, mission, Sonny's, etc
On a positive note.....everyone was extremely pleasant and very attentive. Also everything was priced very fair. However the strange setup and environment had to be offset by the food, and unfortunately that just didn't happen. One and done, but Percocos will still have our business 🙂

Awesome staff. Great food. The meat is very good but the sides and banana pudding stole the show for me.

Incredible local gem ~Texas BBQ in Florida!! We just finished a BBQ tour in Texas, visiting Snow’s, Franklin BBQ, InterStellar, Barb’s-B-Q, Smitty’s, Blacks, Panther City, Goldee’s, etc. Twisted Pit BBQ is certainly up there among the leaders of the BBQ industry in taste and quality! Their brisket was so magnificently succulent, with near perfect bark! It reminded us of Panther City BBQ 🤤. We asked one of the employee what her favorite side was and she replied the mac & cheese. Lemme tell you, it was absolutely delicious! But, unquestionably, their banana pudding was phenomenal 🎉 it was truly delectable, it tasted better than any we had in Texas!

BBQ is so good you think you’re in Texas 🔥

Just waddled out of the newest BBQ spot in Lakewood Ranch, and I’ve got one thing to say: hide your forks, I’m going back for round two.

The staff? Absolute legends. Warm, welcoming, and funny—like your favorite cousin who also happens to know how to run a smoker. They made us feel right at home, even before we started aggressively eyeing the platters coming out of the kitchen.

And the food?
The brisket is so tender it should come with a warning label.
The ribs? Falling off the bone like they’ve had a long day.
The pulled pork is smoky, juicy perfection, and don’t get me started on the sides. Each one is better than the last. (Pro tip: don’t try to pick a favorite—it’ll end in an identity crisis.)

This was easily the best meal I’ve had in Lakewood Ranch. It’s got all the charm of a backyard BBQ, minus the paper plates and awkward uncles.

Go hungry. Leave happy. Probably nap immediately. 🐖🔥🍽️
11/10—bring the family, bring your friends, and maybe bring some Tupperware.

Great BBQ vibes and food and staff were amazing. Will for sure be back to try some more items on the menu.

Delicious food, insanely good cobbler, relaxed atomsphere, solo cups, and the most comfortable bar stools on Main Street! What more could you ask for?

Brisket Sandwich was done to perfection. Any of the in house homemade sauces will give it that sweet tang. Get there early and get this meat in your grill before it sells out :-)
