“I’m a regular at this location, and the staff is the reason why. To say they’re friendly is an understatement. Management should give a big thank you to James, because he’s the only reason I keep coming back. He’s the only bartender (anymore) at this location that cares about your day and is attentive. We appreciate you James!! I was so disappointed to hear that Max and Brandon were let go. The three of them made us women feel comfortable and safe.

So the Mexican food on the west v.s. The east are extremely different. In my opinion Florida tacos are typically quite lackluster compared to those of the WEST. THIS STAND IS THE EXCEPTION!!! The location stuck out to me as it seems to be parked in someone’s driveway when you pull up. But YES IT IS THE RIGHT PLACE! PHENOMENAL TACOS FROM A PHENOMENAL COUPLE FOLKS! They were both very nice. “I am mexican and my family and I have never truly ever had a good authentic mexican meal outside of our home. However, La Pitaya completely changed our world and is legit the only place my traditional parents enjoy going for mexican food when we dont feel like cooking. Their service is quick and friendly, the food is truly authentic and flavorful, they even make the tortillas fresh which is so hard to find nowadays in “authentic” mexican restaurants. This place is definitely worth a try if youre looking for a new mexican place!“

This is a cozy little family style restaurant like you would expect to encounter in a small town in Mexico. It's located in a strip mall and has limited seating.

The server was friendly and took our order cheerfully in spite of the fact we were just getting a couple of appetizers. I ordered a beef taco which was a small soft tortilla but I was surprised to find slices of beef instead of ground beef. It was served with chopped onions and cilantro on the side. At $3.50 it was a good bang for your buck. My wife told me the guacamole was the best she ever had.

They do have the usual fare like fajitas, burritos, etc but we were just coming from a show and only wanted a little nosh.“

“great Mexican spot! we have gotten the pollo asado, nachos, chips and queso, bowl (chicken and steak), quesadillas and all have been very very good. solid kids menu as well - classic kids items as well as kids portion of the pollo asado with the spanish rice and black beans. they have black beans, refried beans and pinto beans options which is great because i feel like most mexican places only have refried beans. we tried the flautas once but they weren't our cup of tea. still would recommend - great menu something for everyone“
