She gave us a tour, gave us the history and background of the restaurant and educated us on the artwork of importance, while educating us on the significance of the art and Mexican culture. “My partner and I have been coming to el Camino in west Palm for years now , and are always gracefully greeted by all the amazing staff , I wish I can mention everyone’s names , but in special all the bartenders since we are bar folks , but yet enjoy the delicious variety of fresh food , well presented and always delicious and hard to find now in days in restaurants which is consistency . However, La Pitaya completely changed our world and is legit the only place my traditional parents enjoy going for mexican food when we dont feel like cooking. The food was made fresh and fast, and the price was more than reasonable. Not a particularly romantic or relaxing atmosphere, but the food and price makes up for it. “If you're looking for a Chic commercial style Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu, this place is not for you.

This is a cozy little family style restaurant like you would expect to encounter in a small town in Mexico. It's located in a strip mall and has limited seating.

The server was friendly and took our order cheerfully in spite of the fact we were just getting a couple of appetizers. I ordered a beef taco which was a small soft tortilla but I was surprised to find slices of beef instead of ground beef. It was served with chopped onions and cilantro on the side. At $3.50 it was a good bang for your buck. My wife told me the guacamole was the best she ever had.

They do have the usual fare like fajitas, burritos, etc but we were just coming from a show and only wanted a little nosh.“

“We dined there on March 15th. The four of us arrived without a reservation and were seated immediately. A bowl of warm tortilla chips and salsa appeared as soon as we sat down. They have a large menu and the orders come out within a very reasonable time frame and all entrees arrived hot. We all ordered different entrees. I got the California burrito with chicken and it was delicious. We had one issue, however, that I want to note. None of us, unfortunately, speak Spanish and the young lady who took our order was very sweet but did not speak or understand English well. One of us had questions about the fajitas and asked if it could be cooked without the peppers and was told it could. The dish that was delivered was not fajitas ( all of our other orders were correct) and our table member sent it back re-requesting fajitas without peppers. They delivered the second dish, which was chicken fajitas but it was made with green peppers. He just took the dish since the three of us were already eating our entrees. I’m not sure why it was so difficult to order such a common dish without the peppers. He said the dish was OK but also said he wouldn’t be returning. It put a damper on the evening and was a shame since it’s a pretty place and the staff overall were pleasant. The remaining three of us all liked the food and said we would return again but would not want the same server.
Our remaining table mate would not return. Once our server knew the order was wrong she never returned to the table. So, can’t give more than 3 stars for the service.“

I really appreciate that they took my order right before closing with the sweetest attitude. The staff is always kind, welcoming, and helpful, even at the end of a long shift.

The queso is way fresher than other places and they have both regular and spicy. I got the regular and it was so good. The surf and turf bowl with steak and shrimp was fresh, flavorful, and really hit the spot.

Staff was super friendly, and if you sign up for rewards you get free chips and queso which is a nice bonus. The shaved ice was amazing too.

Honestly, this might be my new go-to. Way better than Chipotle in my opinion.“
