Always amazed but never surprised! That means no matter what I try on the menu the food is great! The staff are always top notch friendly. A great spot to try.... you'll be back. The roasted wings and French onion are a party for your taste buds...enjoy

First time here in a while. Had the California club flat bread which was good but it is the exceptional service I got from Stephanie at the bar that will bring me back. She was super sweet and efficient...

Delicious food and drinks, and the most friendly staff. My husband and I loved the fried mushrooms.

Overall very disappointing experience. The bar top was very dirty and run with ants and the bartender explained it was because someone else worked the day before and didn’t clean. Ordered a manhattan with Maker’s whiskey and it was not made correctly- came out clear. Finally the icing on the cake was the “Famous Cheesesteak” wrap. One was fine, but the other was filled with so much grease that it was impossible to eat. So greasy the wrap just fell apart and you can see the soup of grease in the picture. The bartender suggested giving us bread to soak up the grease or just putting the food to go instead of having it remade or suggesting something different. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Thought it was seafood, steakhouse. I was wrong. Ordered filet mignon, and Angus steaks. They brought out 2 dollar tree steaks. Still didn't complain, all we asked waitress for was missing dinner salads. $35 and $22 steak dinners. (Charged me $25 for Angus, menu said $22). We'll instead of coming back with dinner salads waitress came back with manager. Things went downhill fast. I was told to leave restaurant. I started to leave and was threatened with police being called if I don't pay my bill, for the garbage they serve. Make up your mind. You can't fix stupid. Horrible plus attitude. Why didn't waitress explain situation to manager. Then a second lady manager came out. What the hell were you two ladies doing before you came our acting tough. Why don't you train your staff, 2 Lady managers, instead of waiting for a problem to bust out. We were the only table being served in entire restaurant

I am writing this review in hopes that the “new owners” will listen to the opinion of long time locals that have enjoyed Jim’s for many years.
My wife and I have been a huge fan until everything changed. Okay..maybe once, twice and the final third time was as we were walking out we said to each other we won’t be coming back here again was this evening when the Phillycheese steaks were again a huge disappointment.
I spoke to our server who was extremely nice and apologetic I asked why are there so many empty tables when in the past the restaurant was typically busy??
He replied “it’s not the same as before.”
Furthermore I was informed that the new owners discontinued the daily specials last week during the weekdays that encourages customers to come to your restaurant on typically slower nights .
Well MANAGEMENT… you will soon find out that empty tables and lost customers are difficult to regain which directly flows down to lost revenues for YOU and less tips for your SERVERS.
These days customers have many options out there who are running daily specials especially in slow season. It is the locals who come in for the daily weekday deals that will keep your tables full and your servers happy.
I sincerely hope this message makes it to the new owner to make Jims Famous Steaks Great Again.

My wife and I went for dinner on a Friday night here. Our first time! Very excited!
Drinks were great, awesome bartender(Jacqueline). Sat at bar for dinner.
Fried mushroom app, was all batter. Returned and got potato skins. Very good.
Got rib eye, thin and could only taste burnt charcoal. Some parts were bright red rare and other spots were over done. The (house made) chicken and rice soup was definitely from a can, gross and salty and house salad was lettuce in a bowl.
Also got BBQ Sampler dinner. Was OK.
Baked beans side, were great, Mac n cheese side, watery cheese.
Went to talk to Management about how unhappy dinner was, and was told nothing could be done because owners would not be back in town for 4 more days. We spent over $100.
We left our info for them to call us, but no one did. It shows how much a patron means to them. Will not be going back.

Prices have really gone up. The quality of the steak sandwich has gone down. Lost alot of flavor. Using different rolls. Our waiter was very good but another tall male waiter was very very loud disturbing my table. It was my birthday and am very, very disappointed. Steak sandwich rates 2 stars.

I've never been disappointed eating here. The food is always prepared well and the service is always friendly. I had a bowl of chowder and salad with salmon. It was all so very good!

Kid-friendliness: It's a family restaurant that welcomes children. Children friendly menu.

Service was slow and it wasn't busy. They raised their prices. The cheese steaks lacked meat and toppings and the upcharge for 3 onion rings is not worth it. No desire to go back for overpriced underwhelming food. With all these recent bad reviews, the new owners won't last.

Not much to say. Everything has changed for the worst. Prices are higher, quality of food is lower. Definitely need better management because this place is worse than eating at home with someone who has never cooked. They used to be great and was our go to cheesesteak place. I feel like John Taffer needs to come in here and do a rescue.

We used to LOVE this place under the previous owner; haven't tried it since the change. I wish we'd saved our money. We decided to try a to go order tonight.

We both got a cup of clam chowder.. extremely thin broth with 2 small pieces of potatoes and maybe 2 clams. The taste was delicious, but EXTREMELY thin broth, with barely a clam or potato? Just, NO! Plus, (and this part really made me angry) for a "cup" we paid $5 .. although it was really maybe 1/2 the size of a regular to go "cup". It was actually in the size of one on those to go cups that you would get a side a coleslaw in. I mean, SMALL.. just sad & RIDICULOUS!!

The salad was fine. The iceberg lettuce was chopped, and crisp & fresh, but you get a tiny amount of diced tomato (maybe like half a slice) and a few shreds of carrot. The fresh made garlic croutons were delish. But the laugh was the blue cheese dressing. It was watery and no blue cheese in it that I could tell. Didn't even taste like blue cheese dressing. Good thing I had my own store bought Marie's that was much thicker and actually had blue cheese in it!. So I could at least save the salad from ruin!

In regards to the main dish, the Shepard pie. Man, I don't even know how to explain to you, our complete disappointment. For one thing, they don't cook the potato on top like a normal pie. They plop a scoop of their garlic mashed on top of the meat/veggie mix. Not the same. And the flavor of the meat mixture will likely stay with me for days. It has a kind of flavor that I can only describe as EXTREMELY BOLD, with a flavor that I just cannot put my finger on. It's loud though. Salty, to be sure. Not like any flavor to Shepard pie I've ever had before.

Overall, NEVER ever again. For 2 dinners, it was over $50. Just awful, WAY overpriced, and disappointing. ?? Total waste if money ???
