This café is the definition of a neighborhood favorite. It’s open seven days a week — which already earns points in my book — and they serve honest, hearty food that tastes like somebody’s mom still runs the kitchen.

The omelets are fluffy, the biscuits are legit, and if you skip the gravy, you’ve made a life mistake. Service is quick, even when it’s busy, and the staff somehow remember everyone’s usual order.

It’s the kind of spot where regulars nod to each other over coffee.

So disappointed that a half order of biscuits and gravy is on biscuit cut in half and for a full order it’s a biscuit cut in half and half of another biscuit. Where is the other half of the biscuit?? Why only 3 halves? You are better off just ordering two half orders. If this is how this business is trying to save money it is a very selfish way. $8 for three halves of a biscuit. Wow. McDonald’s doesn’t even rip you off like that. And for $8!!! Outrageous!!!

Great place to pop in for breakfast or a sandwich for lunch. Very comfortable and cozy, with plenty of room. The servers work as a team which is nice, and they have plenty of tables for 1, along with a lunch counter. Super reasonable prices

At Ted’s in the morning, your day starts out right,
With pancakes and coffee, oh what a delight!
The bacon is crispy, the omelets are grand,
It’s comfort and kindness served hand to hand.

The booths feel like home, the vibe’s warm and bright,
A classic old diner that feels just right.
The servers are friendly, they know you by name,
Each visit is special, yet never the same.

So if you love breakfast that’s hearty and true,
Ted’s Luncheonette is the place made for you.
Five shining stars for this Largo gem dear,
A hometown tradition that keeps us all near!

I’ve been coming to Ted’s Luncheonette for decades, and let me tell you: this isn’t just food, it’s a divine experience. I don’t know what kind of deal Ted made with the heavens, but I’m convinced that God Himself said, “Let there be flavor” and then created a specialized cook just for me—and sent that cook straight to Ted’s. Every plate feels like it was designed in the culinary laboratories of paradise.

The service? Impeccable. Even a chicken couldn’t peck it, and believe me, I’ve seen some picky chickens in my day. The staff treat you like royalty, but not the stuffy kind of royalty—the fun kind that gets unlimited coffee refills and a wink with their pancakes.

The omelets? So fluffy I thought NASA had repurposed them as weather balloons. The bacon? Crispier than a comedian’s punchline. The pancakes? If I stacked them high enough, I could probably climb up to heaven and thank the chef personally.

Other restaurants try. Ted’s succeeds so hard it makes those other places look like they’re still in cooking kindergarten. Honestly, I worry about writing this because once people realize Ted’s is basically the culinary Fountain of Youth, there won’t be a seat left for me. But the world deserves to know.

If you think I’m exaggerating, then clearly you haven’t been here. If I could give them more than five stars, I’d give them the entire galaxy.

Ted’s isn’t just a luncheonette—it’s the reason taste buds were invented.

The Hambergers are amazing. Big and delicious. Grilled not fried. Plenty of selections on the menu and the waitstaff are friendly.

Grew up going to Ted's, I was great to have the time to stop in with my family, and leave with full Belly's once again. Great seeing you Ted, with all the love from the Hartzell family.

I had delicious biscuits with sausage gravy and eggs over light. All were cooked perfectly. Not very colorfu, as its all white, but very tasty! And speedy service, too.
