I was here the other night with my friends. I got a small hazelnut gelato and a large cannoli. The gelato was not great in taste at all. It tasted like it was made with water. The cannoli was good but nothing more than that. The lady who had helped was very nice and the place was clean.
Tried Pan’e Dolci in Fort Lauderdale and left unimpressed. The gelato quality is subpar—lacking the richness and authentic texture you’d expect from a true Italian shop. What really adds insult to injury is the price. These folks charge like they invented Gelato - but what you’re getting is nowhere near worth it.
I’ve had far better gelato in cities like Toronto and New York at half the price and twice the quality. Not sure what justifies the arrogance...

I’ve had my fair share of gelato and Italian pastries, and this place didn’t really impress me. The gelato was a bit pricey for a small serving, and you couldn’t even split it between two flavors. I tried the pistachio flavor, and it was okay, but nothing special. I also got the almond croissant, bomboloni cream (Nutella), and a Sfoglliatelle (large). None of them really stood out to me. To note, there were no prices on anything.
