“This was my first time here. Visiting from California.
The food was delish. I ordered a cheese omelet with tomatoes. It was cooked perfectly! Also hashbrowns and wheat toast.
The service was wonderful. It was not crowded at all.
Everything is cooked fresh.
I do recommend trying this place out. It's family-owned and a lovely family they are.“

“I had an absolutely delightful experience at the Garden Restaurant! I ordered the chili and cheese omelette with potatoes and wheat toast, which was highly recommended by the sweet and charming Janet, my lovely waitress. From the moment I sat down, the service was incredibly warm and welcoming, giving the restaurant a true "Mom & Pop" vibe that made me feel right at home. My food arrived in less than 5 minutes, which was impressive! The omelette was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were crisp and flavorful, all complemented by a nice, hearty wheat toast. To top it off, the coffee and water were just what I needed to round out a perfect meal. The friendly atmosphere and personal touch from the staff made this a standout dining experience. “For Dennys it's a good one. My fries were a little well done but it was the only thing wrong. They made sure to bring my baby pancakes out first so she wouldn't get to fussy with the wait. Our waitress is great always has a lot of tables but never neglect anyone.“

“A must for us whenever we are in town. Comfort food as it’s best. It reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen. Over the years, we’ve tried many different meals and they never disapointed us. Portions are generous and food is fresh. Staff is super friendly too. Here’s a picture of the soup (you have to try it, it is always DELICIOUS, we got 2 bowls to go) and the burger (I forgot to take a picture before taking my first bite, oops). My mom got a burger too and we shared her french fries (portions are very generous).“

“My reviews from previous years are below. I update my ratings based on my most recent visits.
My dining partner enjoys the Avocado Salad with tuna salad which comes with a scoop of potato salad, lettuce, tomato and onions. I've been exploring vegetarian options lately and enjoy rice and steamed broccoli. The service in the morning and afternoon is good and the servers get to know your preferences when you come often. We haven't dibes in the evening so I cannot speak directly to that other than to say I would expect service at that time to also be good

The tuna salad has breadcrumbs or a flour-based extender in it. This is a such a departure from my expectations for tuna salad that I cannot fathom how someone thought this an acceptable way to make a tuna salad sandwich or tuna salad platter. Traditional tuna salad is a gluten-free option. This is not a gluten-free option and nowhere on the menu does it warn diners of the addition. Frankly, it tastes like mush. What a disappointment.
On a more positive note, the service is still very friendly, responsive and quick.
An icon in Fort Lauderdale, this Lester's location is an outpost in the tradition of the original restaurant.

Unforgettable: the bakery items at the counter. Pies, cookies and creme-filled delights.
Parking: Lots of parking, sometimes very busy though.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out with parking up front, easy in and out of the restaurant. Mix of tables and booths make dining easier. Although a handicapped stall is available, in and out of the Ladies' room is tight.“

“I absolutely LOVE Denny’s and I went there today for lunch. The service was outstanding and the food scrumptious. However, upon leaving I realized the floor was EXTREMELY SLIPPERY I believe from grease. Now this is a 24 hour location but something needs to be done so no one suffers a severe injury from falling. The location is in Fort Lauderdale at 5000 N. Federal Highway. Please take care of this issue. I almost slipped and so did my spouse. One of the wait staff mentioned something about skating.“

“This is one of my favorite local spots to visit for breakfast. It is welcoming and staff is always aware of you walking in and ready to help you. The coconut French toast is a delightful treat when you're in the mood for something sweet in the morning. The bacon is always nice and crispy. The local customers are friendly and add to the overall family atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.“
