“Just visited the restaurant for the first time after a long drive from the Panhandle, we are from London England and saw the reviews online and were not disappointed. Purely authentic food, fresh and tasty, great service from Matt. All staff were welcoming and friendly. The seafood was delicious and the keylime pie to die for. Will definitely be back next time we are in Florida. Give the place a try for yourselves 👌🏻“

“Hands down the BEST pies around!!! Mermaid Pies was recommended to us by some friends while visiting Bradenton… fast forward a few years later (and many slices later) we had Shawna cater pies for our Wedding. It was the highlight of the night, every single guest raved about how fantastic the pies were. I HIGHLY recommend the key lime coconut cream - you will not be disappointed! Shawna the owner is also the sweetest, we love supporting her and her business and can’t wait to visit again soon!“

“Thai Bistro was our first stop on vacation and wow were we surprised! Not only was the food amazing, the customer service and hospitality were incredible! We told the owner that we had never been here before and she explained her favorite recipes with enthusiasm and incredible detail. The owner is passionate about making the food / each plate/ delicious and fresh. Impressive hearing about where she finds the very best ingredients and we loved hearing about the legacy of some of these recipes. When she brought out our food, she also brought a plate of spices, all homemade. Highly recommend! (Pictured below: pineapple fried rice in a grilled pineapple)“

“Anna Maria Oyster Bar - Ellenton, FL After spending the day at the Florida State Fair in Tampa, my fiancé and I decided to stop by Anna Maria Oyster Bar in Ellenton—and we’re so glad we did! We ordered fried oysters, French fries, and cheese grits, and everything was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flavorful inside. The cheese grits were just the way I like them—nice and thick—and the fries were a great complement to the meal. Even better, our food arrived quickly and fresh. Our waitress, Lilly, was fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service. We also appreciated how the rest of the staff greeted us warmly as we walked through the restaurant. It’s little details like that that make a place feel extra welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, including the bathrooms, which is always a big plus. Anna Maria Oyster Bar now has four locations, and after this experience, I’d definitely visit again. If you’re in the Ellenton area and craving fresh seafood with great service, this spot is a must-try!“

“Lived here for 12 years and just discovered this place. Definitely the BEST Italian restaurant around. Everything tasted like my mother and noni had prepared it. Caesar salad was the real thing. Gnocchi truly melted in my mouth. Sauce was exceptional.“

“I normally don’t leave reviews for good or bad service and food BUT this place deserves a review for literally the best garlic knots, pinwheels, rolls, anything that is made out of their fresh dough. I had zero expectations and they have exceeded them millions of times with great service and amazing food. Unfortunately I don’t live close by but maybe that is a good thing. Hats off to this amazing kept secret.“

“We stopped in for the first time this afternoon. They provided the best pizza I remember. The crust is just right, proper crisp, chewy, flavorful. The sauce is a masterpiece, the best I've had since I moved to the area 30 some years ago. Toppings are spot on. I highly recommend this place as The Goto place for a good pie!“

“I had the house salad as a side. It had a good variety of vegetables and the house balsamic dressing was amazing. I also had the stromboli with sausage and pepperoni. The stromboli had ricotta and mozzarella cheeses which made it better than a typical stromboli. I highly recommend Origin!“

“We had a great experience at the beach house. We come every year while vacationing. My 8 year old uses a wheelchair so exploring the beach she got sand all over her chair. Michelle saw us trying to clean it off and came over to help. She brought a wet rag and started wiping off my daughter’s chair. She was so kind and helpful. Truly went above and beyond. She also let us know their sister property- the sandbar now has a ramp to the beach so we will be sure to check that out next time. Our waitress Bobbi was also great! The food, atmosphere and service were all 5 stars. Thank you again Christine, you are a gem“

“Fantastic Diner, We first visited Guppys when it was a Blue Shack at the side of the beach, on our second visit over to Florida a few years later, we decided go and find the little blue shack where we had an amazing fish dish with the lovely owners we found by accident and was amazed to see the transformation,, It's now a proper upmarket restaurant still with fantastic fresh food and valet parking with the same friendly family staff. Well worth a driving out to even if you're not close by, it would be the first point to visit on our return.“
