This place was incredible! My family came here tonight for my dad’s 70th birthday. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the vibes were top notch. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Tampa!

Tucked away from the bustling city streets, this newer steakhouse is a delightful surprise for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

After looking at the menu, we decided to order a filet, which we anticipated would be the highlight of our meal. However, a minor mix-up occurred when our order was mistakenly placed for a New York strip. What could have been a frustrating experience was handled with remarkable grace and professionalism by the staff.

Instead of leaving us waiting idly, our server stepped in with a genuine apology and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout the mishap. To keep the experience enjoyable, they graciously offered us another drink on the house and presented the New York strip for us to enjoy in the meantime. This thoughtful gesture transformed what could have been an annoying situation into a highlight of our evening.

Hats off to our server, who maintained a positive attitude and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The manager on duty also played a crucial role in making us feel like VIPs, attending to our needs with a level of care that is sadly rare in the dining world today. Their commitment to customer service was evident, and it truly made us feel valued.

When the filet finally arrived, it was everything we had hoped for—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. By the end of our meal, we were stuffed, but not just with food; we also left with wonderful memories of an exceptional dining experience.

This steakhouse is worth seeking out. The combination of great food, outstanding customer service, and a warm atmosphere makes it a true standout. We will undoubtedly return, not just for the food, but for the impeccable service. If you're in the mood for a fantastic steak and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, don’t miss out on this amazing place!

Birkins Steakhouse & Sushi Bar offers an exceptional dining experience that combines impeccable service, an impressive selection of dishes, and an ambiance that is sophisticated yet relaxed.

The greeting was warm and welcoming. The front-of-house staff made sure my family and I were seated in a timely manner. The owner accommodated a quieter area for our 15 month old and showed extreme professional.

My family and I will be back!

Ate there with 6 friends with a 6pm reservation last Saturday evening. We were seated promptly at a spacious table. The server, Chris was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and cooked to order. Never felt rushed or hurried while we were dining. The owner came by while we were eating to welcome us and to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Overall a great experience.

Birkin’s Steakhouse in Tampa was a long-anticipated stop for my husband and me on a date night. We’d driven by it countless times, enticed by their advertising of fine seafood and steak. As seasoned foodies who appreciate quality, we were eager to give it a try but, unfortunately, left deeply disappointed.

The restaurant itself is a mix of highs and lows. The bar area was nicely designed, but the dining room and banquet area felt cheaply executed. That said, the booths were comfortable, and the server uniforms added a touch of class.

Our server, while polite, lacked personality and enthusiasm. We started with a dirty martini, French onion soup, and a wedge salad, which were fine—nothing exceptional, but nothing to complain about either. However, things took a turn for the worse when the main courses arrived.

We ordered the large portion of filet, Chilean sea bass, garlic mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. The filet was shockingly subpar—stringy and more reminiscent of a discount New York strip than the tender cut we expected. The sea bass, a dish I’ve enjoyed many times at other establishments, was a major letdown: neither buttery nor flaky, and closer to pollock in texture. To make matters worse, it was buried under an overpowering cheese sauce and served on an excessive bed of asparagus. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted over-seasoned to the point of resembling Play-Doh, and the creamed spinach was overly salty and gloppy, weighed down by an unnecessary layer of mozzarella.

When the manager came by, we politely shared our thoughts. His response was disappointingly dismissive, with a tone that felt more patronizing than apologetic: “Oh, so sorry you didn’t like it! Can I getcha some dessert?” We declined, and that was the end of it. No meaningful resolution, no acknowledgment of the poor quality, and no attempt to make things right beyond the offer of a dessert we didn’t want.

The waiter came back, and we reiterated our concerns, noting that for the prices they charge, the food and service simply didn’t measure up. Again, all that was offered was dessert. When the bill came, we were surprised to find that nothing had been adjusted. After years of working in the restaurant industry ourselves, we know it’s customary to offer some form of relief—comping an item, removing a side dish, or even just showing genuine concern for the guest’s experience. Here, there was none of that.

When I voiced my surprise that they hadn’t at least removed the barely touched sides, the waiter said, “I got you,” and finally had the manager remove the sea bass. However, by that point, the damage was done. Adding insult to injury, the owner, who was clearly aware of the situation, avoided our table all night while personally visiting nearly every other table in the dining room.

Birkin’s Steakhouse charges high-end prices but delivers low-end quality. From the lackluster food to the indifferent service, it’s clear this restaurant isn’t meeting its own standards—or its customers’ expectations. Save your time and money unless you enjoy being thoroughly disappointed.

Berkin’s Steakhouse and Sushi Bar offers an outstanding dining experience with exceptional food and service. The menu features a stunning array of options, from perfectly cooked steaks and fresh sushi to flavorful chicken dishes. The wine choices add a special touch, making it easy to find the perfect pairing for any meal. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable meal with excellent service. A must for quaint special occasions ! A bit pricey but well worth it.

Dietary restrictions: They have IBS friendly dining with fish , scallops , chicken and their amazing steaks. Very tasty!

We made the mistake of coming here for our anniversary. This was such a flop. Don’t waste your money and go to an established steakhouse in Tampa instead. As someone with fine dining experience, I can say this is a good concept that is poorly executed by management and the owner. Upon being greeted, we were told by three different staff members that they were “short staffed” despite there being about 4 tables in the dining room on a Saturday, and multiple workers hanging around the bar, seemingly doing nothing work related. We were served by a hostess who was sweet and helpful, but clearly not properly trained. Our table was not properly bussed or reset as you would expect for a restaurant boasting these price tags. We ordered a $120 steak, clearly underwhelming, and not the only disappointing item. We never received an actual server. We never received the proper share plates or dinnerware, after glaring at what we assumed was a manager for 10 minutes.. (he never introduced himself) he came over and asked “what ya need” then proceeded to drop off the necessary dinnerware without offering any other assistance. We were looking forward to celebrating our anniversary here after reading reviews, but unfortunately wasted our money on an experience that was not worth 1/4 of the $270 we spent.

Wow! Firs time here and we will be back. Tried two sushi rolls and the small filet - get the brussel sprouts crispy they are perfection! Drinks are made well and reasonable, menu is all of the steakhouse favorites and a nice sushi menu to accompany. Ask for Marissa! She was exceptional. Brett the manager came by to check on everything as well which was a nice touch. Can't wait to go back. Restaurant is very clean and great service - but food was exceptional!

Great to see a nice restaurant outside the standard Tampa/South Tampa bubble!

Loved the roberts and creamed spinach. Bacon scallops were tender with good depth of flavor. Wedge salad and French onion soup were average but still well excicuted and enjoyable. Cocktails and wines were tasty.

Server was friendly but quickly overwhelmed. Great recommendations! But had trouble surg more independent inquiries.

Sushi side and main bar had tons of room. But steakhouse side was cramped and dark. We were given a 2 top along an walkway wall (busy area with extra small table top), close enough to hear every detail of our neighbors' conco (I wish I hadn't!!!). Room was dark with industrial ceilings. Un finished, not intimate

Hope they can continue to improve. If so, I'll update rating/ review later

DO NOT Waste your money here !! First time we came here had a great steak when they first opened. Tonight we ordered a 60. Dollar ribeye that came out like a rubber piece of steak umm. Then they said they were out of ribeye so wanted to give a Porta house. Half of it was dried out like a piece of shoe low. The other half was raw baked potato was cold as can be hard as a rock not much more I can say I’m a state guy. This place is terrible will not be back.
