We used to love going to this place and traveled an hour just to go and get their shrimp soup, which is no longer On the menu. However, the chicken soup was very good. Most restaurants we just sit at the bar when we don’t have our daughter for faster service. In this case Daughter barely anyone in the restaurant, but we still went straight to the bar. Took us a while to get a menu after we order our food. It took an awfully long time, which I mentioned before there was barely any one in the restaurant so we thought this was odd. as long as it took for our food to come out, you would think it would’ve been piping hot, but this was not the case. It was lukewarm like it had been maybe sitting under a heat lamp. While placing my order originally, I said to substitute for the Yuka truffle fries then I scratch that to just get a side salad because I I didn’t want to be stuffed before we went shopping. The food comes out with the yuca fries and the side salad when we finally get the bill I was charged an extra $10 for the Yuka fries, which I originally said to take off while placing the order. With all of this being said, I’m sad to say, but we won’t be back.

The atmosphere when you first walk in was great decorative, clean etc. When I entered the front desk person was talking to another customer which is fine but the conversation lasted for at least 5 minutes and the front desk never acknowledged me until the conversation was over. So she finally acknowledged me and said it would be a few minutes before a table was ready which again is fine but it was more like 20 minutes and I was confused because the restaurant didn't seemed packed. A waiter came and got us for a table for 2 but the waiter for our actual table haf us waiting 7 to 8 minutes before he cam to the table. Again didn't look that busy to me for a Sunday night but the waiter came maybe 3 times but just didn't seemed willing to help nor refill our water glass. I had to waive for my waiter on 2 occasions. The food was ok the chicken I had was a bit dry and maybe could have used a sauce. I was very disappointed because I've heard good things about Rice and Beans but the staff really made me feel like a burden being their instead of a paying customer. Even if customer service is mediocre I believe in a good tip this waiter just didn't seem to care at all. May will try again but no time soon.

I placed an order for a party the day before. They charged my cc. When I went to pick it up, they had forgotten about it. They had to start the order after I got to the restaurant

This would be the last place I would recommend; it gets worse every day. Inconsistent food, poor atmosphere.

We came on a Sunday late afternoon, and it wasn’t really busy. It took them about 10–15 minutes to seat two people. Once seated, our table host took a while just to get our drink order. We ordered our drinks and didn’t see our host again for quite some time. We had to get his attention while he was passing by for him to take our order.
We placed our dinner order along with an order of tostones. The food also took a while, and while we waited, the server did not check on us even once. Again, we had to get his attention just to get water.
My boyfriend ordered the chicharrones de pollo; they were extremely dry and overcooked, and we never received the tostones.
This was my first and last time coming here. It was not a pleasant experience.

I don't know what happened to this place but it's not good anymore. I can't recommend it. It's like night and day different from when I first went there a year ago. Take out was lame and sad looking. I contacted them and they never responded.

Honestly, I don’t give bad reviews to any restaurant cause I know sometimes they make mistakes, but this is the fourth time that I’ve been to the restaurant times to get our food took forever. All the foods are cold. it’s like overpriced for no reason I’m Puerto Rican and this food was not even anywhere close to being good. I try to give them a chance at the chance to see if maybe it was because it was a weekend or maybe it’s because there was a lot of people there but at the end of the day, they keep doing the same thing over and over garbage restaurant hands-down Waitress with attitude

Dined here Friday evening and was really disappointed! The prices are insane. My food came out barely warm and the rice tasted old. The appetizer tasted like it came from a frozen aisle. The one thing I enjoy there is the atmosphere. But for 2 appetizers, a side of yucca frieds and the pork dish with rice, plantains and macaroni salad I wasnt expecting to pay $75! I had one cocktail from a small plastic cup, maybe 6 ounces. There are so many restaurants in the area so I will just pass on by this one.
