We had heard great things about this place so we decided to give it a shot. Not sure if it was a bad day or what but the service was horrible, our cooked oyster appetizer came out before the two waters that we ordered. My husband ordered a beer which we had to actually go up to the bartender to get after waiting over 10 min for. I ordered crab legs, they were $25 and I literally received 5 SKINNY legs (one tiny cluster). Overall this was a very disappointing experience.

My recent visit with a friend impressed us both. We had crab cakes, fried oysters, and the lobster roll. Excellent! But my new fav...the hush puppies! Amazing, don't miss these! The services, from the minute we walked in till our exit, was impeccable. Friendly, helpful with clear answers to our questions, very accommodating. Really cool decor, lots of room, and outdoor seating. I highly recommend. It's now going to be our go-to when shopping in that area. Support them....we need this place here!

We stopped by this place just for a drink. And ended up eating some delicious food! Service was great and the atmosphere was amazing!

This was our first visit, we went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy. The service was great. We ordered a pound of shrimp, I'm allergic so I can't say how it tastes ha! Ahi Tuna, hush puppies and calamari. The Ahi Tuna was by far my favorite dish, it was perfectly seasoned and grilled. Also the dipping sauce that the Ahi was served with, was everything. The hush puppies were a let down. They were too big and dry. I recommend they visit Rusty Bellies for inspiration on how Hush puppies should be. Overall it was a good experience.

Okay so 3 drinks, two plates of food, a dozen oyesters was 100 bucks. In today's economy that isn't bad.The food was sublime. I love shrimp and grits and I was skeptical of the grit cakes at first, but this quickly became my favorite in the greater tampa area. Also this is the best Oyesters I've had in Florida.Service: Amy is the sweetest damn person I've met in years. And she recommended some absolutely delicious drinks. If you like Key Lime get the Key Lime Mix she recommends.I can only go up to 5 stars but I would give more if I could.

I unfortunately got food poisoning from eating the raw oysters here (I know, there is always a risk of it when consuming raw foods.) I was highly anticipating it to be safe considering oysters are what they specialize in and ended up having a horrible night with no sleep, lots of vomitting and all the other fun stuff that comes with food poisoning. The taste of the oysters were very average, they were quite small and didn't have that natural plump sweetness. We also ordered a lobster roll, I think it was around $28-29 and the portion of lobster you are served is very little.Service was a bit slow but our waitress was nice.

Had lunch here. Ordered hush puppies, fried shrimp, and fried oyster-fish combo with potatoes. Also had a chicken tender basket. I could tellthe oysters were fresh by the taste and texture. The fish was tasty and frash also. The shrimpwere pretty much standard. The chicken tenders were the best value gor for the potion that they serve. Fast and friendly service. Will be back.

Let’s start with it’s a cool looking and easily could see this going well.Got the big bucketThe only thing they got right was the snow crab. Shrimp and Oysters were steamed to death, rubber. The bartender neglected to mention they were out of clams so we didn’t get that.Asked for cocktail sauce & horseradish and was told they didn’t have cocktail. (Ketchup on bar)Ketchup + horseradish = cocktail sauce ??Need a cook that knows how to cook seafood.Need staff that knows how to communicate lNeed a manager that has a clue.

Showed up wanting seafood. Ordered shrimp basket with fries. Received popcorn shrimp and fries. Would have been money better spent at Popeyes or Publix. Dont believe me, try it out. Shrimp and grits was brutal as well. Paid for it all however won’t put my hand on a hot stove again. Save your money and go with your second option. Trust me.

This is a newer restaurant, so we’ve given it some leeway. The food is good. It is a little concerning that a seafood restaurant runs out of clams and cocktail sauce on a weekend. And that the kitchen staff did not know that cocktail sauce is just ketchup and horseradish. The service was lackluster as if they really don’t want to be there. It has a lot of potential, and I hope that management change their staff on how to be waitresses and bartenders. If so, the restaurant should thrive the location is prime and could garner a large following if managed properly.

Having moved away from this area 3 years ago, we were excited, but a bit skeptical when we came back and saw the Shuckin' Shack. We love fresh seafood, so decided to take a look, and were very impressed with the atmosphere, the staff and the food! Between the 3 of us, we ordered the clams (1/2 steamed, 1/2 raw), the House mixed salad with Mahi Mahi, and the Fo'rilla quesadilla with grilled shrimp. All were delicious! Our server, Amy was very engaging and helpful with all the questions we had being our first time there! We would definitely recommend and will be going back!

This is the second time we have been here. The food is good. However, the second time we were here. Our service was horrible after waiting for an hour for our food we paid for our cheese fries which was really good and left. Still can't believe they didn't comp them. We watached as customers came in after us and got there food. We asked several times about our food and was told it would be our shortly. I don't think she put in our order. I have never been to a restaurant where a manager didn't come out and talk to you.
