Outstanding! Honestly, words hardly do this place justice. From my very first visit to now countless returns, Mama Rose Pizza has never failed to impress. Their specials are legendary—especially the 99-cent cheese slices that taste like pure New York nostalgia.

The heart of this place comes from the owners, Mama Rose and Uncle Vinny. They bring so much energy and warmth that you instantly feel like part of the family. On just my second visit, Uncle Vinny remembered my name and even listened to my suggestion about offering his homemade ranch in larger bottles so I could enjoy it at home. That kind of care is rare.

The atmosphere is electric—from Yankees games on the TV to the authentic New York/New Jersey vibes in the air. And let’s talk about the food: the homemade sauce is packed with flavor, and the cook in the back reminds me of my Nana. She pours her spirit into the dough, and I swear there’s a secret ingredient—maybe a mix of sugar, spice, and sunshine—that makes it perfect every time.

The whole staff is incredible. Even during a rush, the cashiers greet you with a smile, making every visit a bright spot in my day. The place keeps evolving and renovating, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Our waitress was excellent and let us know from the beginning that she was backed up but would be back to us as soon as she could check on the other tables. She was actually the only server on duty!! We also sat where we could watch the kitchen staff working their butts off handling table orders as well as a stream of take out orders. All 5 of us agreed our experience was worth every minute. I'm not a fan of pepper and when I called to ask if I received the correct order was informed that this location adds pepper and you have to request no pepper. Wasted money on them today. It should be on the menu that they do this to all of the wings. Disappointed 😞“

“Buona ristorante (aka Buona pizza) advertises themselves as a classy Italian restaurant. This place is nothing more than a pizza joint. Extremely small inside with paper table cloths that they tear off from a big roll on the back wall. Ordered garlic bread and calamari for appetizer. Garlic bread was OK, calamari was so tough you could not even chew it. My mom's OSSO BUCO ALLA MILANESE (pork shank) was seasoned good, but I could tell it was cooked earlier and then heated up. The outside of the pork was warm, but the middle was stone cold. My wife and I got a Hawaiian pizza. It is thin crust and extremely soggy. Could not even pick up the pizza slice it was so soft. Had a horrible, weird tast me to it, almost like a sour tomato sauce. Barely even ate one slice and left the rest of it there. Went there for birthday dinner, and it was ruined. I guess our first red flag should have been that on a Saturday evening, it was not even busy.“

“The manager Michelle is absolutely amazing, she is there ever day almost all day, whom ever the owner is I hope they pays her well and takes good care of her. She deals with some wild customers but she always is so kind, my food is always hot and good. Michelle is the best, the other girl named Meika is amazing customer service , so sweet and kind and always ready to help. She's always helpful to the manager and smiles when you come in.
