The Best Frankfurter in 40 Years! I
f I could give Kappy’s Subs 10 stars, I would! We went looking for the best local hot dog to treat our 96-year-old neighbor, Sarge—who’s been like a grandfather to us—and Kappy’s absolutely delivered. Sarge is a veteran who grew up in New York, so he knows a real Frankfurter when he sees one. After we took him for a ride through Maitland on this beautiful day, we pulled up here, and the nostalgia hit immediately.
POW! BANG! ZAPP! The flavors were like a 70s Batman show action sequence! I went with the Carolina Dog (Mustard, Ketchup, Onions, Chili, and Slaw... IYKYK! CAROLINA STANDUP!!) and it was pure perfection. Every bite was an explosion. But the real win? Sarge said it was the best Frankfurter he’s had since moving to Orlando 40 years ago. That is the highest praise you can get!
The customer service was top-tier. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the cook was such a cool guy. They didn't just serve us food; they helped make a 96-year-old veteran feel truly loved and appreciated today.
Thanks Kappy’s, for the moment/memory, the full bellies, and for being a local gem that still does it right. We will definitely be back!

Went for the first time today and I wasn't impressed, everything just seemed so greasy. My husband and I both got a Philly cheese steak and the meat didn't taste like anything, it needed some seasoning and it was extremely oily. I got sweet potato frues and they tasted alright but same a bit soggy and oily. Service was fast and pretty basic, no complaints there.

Sad to say this, since it got saved last year. First anf probably the last time going to Kappys. Sad sack of an excuse for a cheese steak. Also, what's with the millions of banana peppers on my cheesesteak i didnt ask for I could have been allergic You know. Soft bread and greasy as all hell. Onion rings unseasoned and greasy. Sorry man. This isn't it. Im not coming back to replace ill just eat it since it doesn't taste bad. Also the pick up window, really dude. Get some soft skills. Threw my lunch out on the counter like a greasy bag of nothing and walked away. THANKS

I was new in town and searching for a philly. So when I stumbled across this place and looked at the pictures and reviews , I thought, why not? 17.50 for a philly combo. I mean if the sandwich looks like the pictures I'm down! This sandwich is small, they give you a little bit of waffle fries and a huge drink. Give me a larger sandwich with more meat than veggies and helping of fries for that amount please. I could've gone to Five Guys for this price.

I only ordered a root beer 🍺 float to take to a dear friend in a memory care place , but the guy put ice cream in a cup and root beer in another so it would not get all melted. Super thoughtful. 👌

I ordered online. There were quite a bit of people waiting. Went up to the counter to find out about my order. It was a while before anyone acknowledged me standing there. I assume its because of the busyness. I gave the food 4 stars because I forgot to request no oregano on my sub.
