Blu Bistro is our favorite restaurant and bar, and our first stop when we arrive in Marathon for the winter. This year, as always, it did not disappoint - even when arriving on busy New Year's Eve. Whether it be Greek or American, the food is consistently great and reasonably priced. Servers are friendly and enthusiastic. Being a bit of of Popeye, I ordered my favorite spanakopita - authentically Greek and loaded with a spinach filling, sandwiched in a flakey, buttery Phyllo crust. YUM! The rest of our group ordered the pizza, loaded with meat. (the BEST pizza in Marathon!). The poolside dining atmosphere is delightful - a unique dining experience in the Keys. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

I've never walked out of restaurant before but this was a first. I had a reservation for 7:45 on new year's Eve. I arrive and it's not even that busy, plenty of tables available but the staff are running around like crazy. I stood there for over 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. 5 more minutes and I get seated, 10 more minutes they come to take drink orders and bring a menu. I then find out there's a set new years eve menu which was not advertised anywhere online and the menu only has 5 options, none of them are vegetarian. I waited 20 more minutes for my drink and at that point decided it wasn't worth waiting any longer and left. I was there for over an hour and couldn't even get a drink. I've never had service that bad in my life, what a way to end the year.

We ordered fish tacos and Caesar salad thru door dash and the food arrived to our condo quickly and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

Wait staff were not dressed appropriately especially for the holiday season. I wanted to leave before we were even seated however there were not many options of restaurants open. Food was lousy. Seemed more like a low budget place trying to be upscale. I wish I would have made something at home and saved my money.

Absolute no go! Despite reservation very long waiting time. Service did not come to our table forever. One in three food was cold, another was not as ordered. 20% tip taken, although on the card it says that this is included. We certainly won't come here anymore

Blue Bistro's location and ambience was a surprise. We expected a proper restaurant setting. We got the poolside bar kitchen at a very noisy poolside of a hotel full of holiday guests. Staff were excellent, pleasant and happy to serve. The food was decent.

Food was not what we expected. A few of us felt sick afterwards. Waitresses were not dressed appropriately- on had leggings on that looked like lingerie- very poor especially when going to dinner with family/ kids.

We sat at bar on a night that wasn't crowded. The bartender quickly fixed me a very well done mojito. An extremely pleasant food server assisted him in taking our order and the bringing the food to us. Everything was excellent... especially the Tuna Tanaka. What really makes this place stand out is the value. Portions are large and the prices are very reasonable considering you're in paradise. A family of 4 can eat very well for under $100 and that includes a couple of drinks for Mom and Dad. Be aware that they automatically include a gratuity of 20% in your bill... but that is well-earned. It is kind of tucked away inside a resort, which in my mind makes it a hidden gem... highly recommend!

The food is great especially the seared tuna and calamari. Inside it quiet and cool but no ambiance. Outside we would be in the sun, but the ambiance is there by the pool and the music.
