This restaurant was once a gem. This entire property needs an overhaul. The food was not “fine dining”. I’m sad about this because We returned expecting a different experience. So much for a birthday dinner. I would love to get Gordon Ramsey to arrive for a restaurant make over. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting! The Chef is passionate and needs support! I got a peek into the kitchen- it needs a deep cleaning and a fresh start. Too many options in Marathon. Now for this restaurant to exist if something doesn’t change!

My wife rarely awards a five-star rating to any restaurant, but she has made an exception for The Hideaway Cafe. Get ready for a delightful and unexpected culinary adventure. The food is exquisite, complemented by breathtaking ocean views. Every time we visit the Keys, we make it a priority to stop by this hidden treasure. We've dined there four times and have no plans of stopping. Anyone who rates this dining experience lower than five stars should probably stick to McDonald's, as they clearly lack an appreciation for exceptional cuisine.

The Hideaway Café is hands down the best-kept secret in Marathon! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely delicious — every bite bursting with flavor and care. The cozy, intimate setting makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a hidden treasure.
What truly made our experience unforgettable was the owner, Frida. She is an absolute delight! Warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, Frida took the time to walk us through the menu with such genuine passion and kindness. Her personal touch and attention to detail elevated the entire evening.
If you’re anywhere near Marathon, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. This place is something special — a perfect mix of charm, flavor, and heart. We can’t wait to come back!

DON’T GO THERE! We went there because of the reviews. When we got there the restaurant is permanently closed and totally rundown. It looks like it never reopened after the last hurricane a few years ago. Their website should be update to include their closure. 0 stars
Literally the best food in the Florida Keys. Absolutely fantastic. The Executive Chef, Freda, offers an amazing menu and great service in an epic location. Worth the drive from anywhere in the Keys.
