The owner was very rude and abrupt with our table of 10. He approached our table, telling us he needed to know when we would be ordering, because he had over 400 tables to push thru that evening. We had been there for no longer than 30 min, having cocktails. The tone in his voice was very loud and discourteous. For myself, I will not go back, and that was the feeling of many others. Its a shame because our waitress was outstanding, and the food was good.

Cocomo's has the BEST Grouper Fingers, always cooked perfectly, with light crispy batter. Delicious black beans and rice. Plenty of other unique choices. Seems like I always order either their Grouper Fingers or their Seafood Platter because you get 2 generous sized Grouper Fingers, 2 fried shrimp, 2 coconut shrimp and a few scallops on the platter. I love coconut, but not on my shrimp, so they always honor my request that all 4 shrimp be the regular fried shrimp. Their Chicken Lettuce Wraps are great too, very refreshing. My son loves their Mongolian Beef. Bonnie's Key Lime Pie is also really good, a nice finishing touch. ?
A great place for dinner. The Grouper was amazing. The place is fun. The service is 2nd to none.Do not let the full lot deter you. This place out seats the parking lot.

The food is great, the service was good, & the atmosphere was very busy! A lot of people waiting to get a table when we left. Plan on getting there before 5:00 or after 7:00 if you do not want a long wait in both January & February. It IS Marco Island!

First of all I do not like writing adverse reviews but our recent visit to Cocomo's restaurant on Marco Island Florida necessitated this review. My wife and I visit Marco Island annually and we usually reserve one day to go fishing off a boat, if we have a good catch those fish would be cleaned at the dock and then we would take them to Cocomo's restaurant where they would prepare a very delicious meal. This year the fishing was dismal but we decided to visit Cocomo's for dinner anyway as the meals in the past were good. My wife and I like to dine at the bar, we found two seats and we were greeted by one of the bartenders whose name is Amanda. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered ice water. We were given a couple of menus and Amanda returned and asked if we were ready to order and I made an inquiry of Amanda to explain their shellfish selections. Amanda replied, I'm allergic to shellfish so I can't help you. I inquired how long Amanda had worked at the restaurant and she said 11 years and I said you mean after working here 11 years you can't tell me about your shellfish selections and she again replied a little more nasty, I'm allergic to shellfish, I don't eat shellfish, so no I can't explain those selections it to you. My wife and I weren't happy with the interaction so we paid for the beer and I asked the other bartender who the owner was and was he here this evening? She told me the owner's name is Scott and he was working at the hostess stand. When I looked over to the hostess stand Amanda was there pointing at us and obviously was giving her side of the story to Scott. On the way out I stopped by the hostess stand and said hello Scott, I see that you're very busy and I saw that Amanda has already pleaded her case with you, may I have a business card and I'll send you an email with my side of the story, Scott told me that would not be necessary as we could discuss it right then. I told Scott what had happened and Scott parroted Amanda's line, she's allergic to shellfish, she doesn't eat shellfish, so I used the analogy if I was at Burger King and an 11-year employee was behind the counter and I asked that employee to explain the Whopper and he or she would have said I'm a vegetarian, I don't eat meat so therefore I can't explain the Whopper to you, doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Scott repeated his first comment saying Amanda's allergic to shellfish, she doesn't eat shellfish. Seeing I wasn't going to get any further with Scott, I bid him good a evening. When I turned around and started to walk out the door he yelled, “maybe this place isn't for you” I have to agree with Scott, Cocomo's will no longer be a place for us.

Great Food, Great Service, Unbearable Traffic noise from Collier Blvd. Shame they could not relocate the Patio elsewhere.
