Smith House Restaurant and Tavern

It’s a little hard to find but a very nice place, good value and service. It’s a pretty restaurant with inside and outside seating. There are several vegan options. My husband had a fabulous custom made omelette with Just Eggs and vegan cheese. I had Just Eggs and house made sourdough toast. Would go back in a heartbeat. Sorry I forgot to take pictures.

The fish and chips here is pretty good and so is the organic grass-fed burger. Their breakfast is all right but sometimes the service is horrible depending on who you have. The problem is this place is way way OVERPRICED!

We ordered and pick up from this restaurant. Today, for the third time we had a pickup order which was incorrectly completed. We called to speak to an owner or manager, and got a person who simply could not care less. When told we would not be eating here again due to the bad service, THEY ACTUALLY ANSWERED WITH "That' fine, we don't need your business". Our advise, stay away, they are not the least consistant in what they do and seem to care less.

They do have a small Vegan / Vegetarian section on their menu, of which has a Veggie Wrap, Collard Green Pastrami, and Mushroom BLT. Was told they no longer offer the Collard Green Pastrami, and the server was kinda rude when we asked if the MBLT Aioli was vegan, said just don’t get it. Asked if they could inquire and she seemed annoyed and said it was probably premade and the kitchen staff wouldn’t know what’s in it, came back after “checking” and said it’s mayonnaise and not vegan. Sandwich was very dry. Staff ignored us for over 20 mins while we waiting for check. Disappointed, won’t return.

This is our all time favorite place .My husband & I come 3-4 days a week.We love the outside seating the food is ALWAYS perfect.Also love the bloody Mary's and all staff is great.Didi Nada Franny & Marisol.We miss you this month of September. Can't wait to get back!!

Shrimp tacos = better than average
The blacked grouper sandwich was a little under cooked for our taste.
The deep-fried pickles ? good stuff.
Onion rings = good stuff

This hidden little gem was the perfect breakfast spot. You have to search for it since it's nestled between condos and behind some stores. The food was perfect and we wouldn't change a thing about it. No photos on this one though :(

Now that things are winding down on the island the locals are coming back to the Smith house. This is one of the favorite places for great food and a fantastic atmosphere.

Love going out on the back patio area with the tiny waterfall and beautiful landscaping

I had my favorite Mexican skillet with the fruit cup, which is always a winner.
