The SpeakEasy Marco Island

I got two $7 drinks for a happy hour before 6:00 p.m. My husband got the boom boom shrimp for an appetizer, it's tempura shrimp with chipotle sauce. He loved it so much he ordered two orders of them! We got the shrimp pizza. I feel like the shrimp was overcooked but it was very good. We both enjoyed ourselves there!!

We stopped here & weren't sure about it when we drove into parking lot because its in a strip mall set in the inside corner.....so glad I walked up to check it out! It's so much bigger than we expected! Very charming inside & really great waterfront tables outside that are dog friendly! Our food was so tasty & our server was fantastic! We had the Wisconsin fried cheese curd appetizer, coconut shrimp, chicken tenders & beef sandwiches in our party of 4.....everyone loved their food!!! Pric es are very reasonable too!

We just love this restaurant. It’s very casual and laid back. Service and management are always pleasant and professional. Love eating with a water view. The array of food is amazing but more than that it’s so good. We have never had a bad meal. The Asian calamari if so so tasty. Saturday rib special is delicious with sweet potato fries, baked beans and cole slaw. Yummy. I could go on and on. Thank you everyone at Speak Easy.

One of my new favorite spots, food quality is spot on, service is efficient and friendly. Great neighborhood gem. Was a little leary because the prices were inexpensive but the food was amazing.

So… this place is not what we were expecting. We try to hit up fun speakeasy’s while traveling. The point of a speakeasy is the secretive/hidden nature of it. This is not a speakeasy, hence the 3/5 rating. It’s located in a shopping center and you just walk in like any other restaurant. You do have a view of the water but there was a stagnant, fishy smell. We did not order food so we cannot rate that. Our drink was fine and the server was attentive and friendly, we just would not return as it was an older, quiet crowd and not what we were looking for or expecting.

I went specially for lobster rolls, its the worse lobster roll ever I tried, its not real lobster meat its look like fish and frozen lobster together and it's make the bread wet and smelly. 100% not worth the money .

The waitress told us $5 margaritas. I ordered 5 and the bills came out to over $100. I asked her about our tab and she said my margarita was $11 a piece. We left an $8 tip and she brings the table over and says “$8?” And slaps the tab twice and walks away. We will never go there again based on customer service. She was very nice until she got an 8$ tip. We had to wait 20 minutes for every drink we ordered. Ridiculous!!

We come here for the pizza, the bourbon and the great conversations at the bar! We stay at the JW but like to go off property and explore. Everytime we come here the guys or gals working behind the bar are so engaging and actually talk to us. Unlike at the hotel. We usually come off season so it’s nice when locals take time to talk to the patrons because we know it’s hard to do during season. We will be back. Thanks for the great service!
