The food is usually amazing, but today I was very disappointed. I ordered the rice and legume, and unfortunately, it was extremely salty. Please kindly ask the chef to pay closer attention to the seasoning and measurements moving forward. Thank you .

I love seeing my people doing great I love the atmosphere at Pearl honestly but they need to get better cook. I got a bouyon with a side of griyo. The bouyon was tasty but the dumplings were not fully cooked it was oily and I kept finding pieces of burnt meat. for the griyo it was just salty but the pikliz was beyond salty to much salt on the food. Please leave up to the reputation it’s just my honest review

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was awesome. But the service was the best part. Tanya went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and got to try things we liked. She made the experience the best we had in Miami. Will be back next time we are in town.

I came here to eat with my family, after landing in Ft. Lauderdale. This place has some of the best Haitian dishes I ever tasted. We had a party of 6 and we all enjoyed our meals. Our waitress Kat [short for Kathy] was wonderful, kind, attentive and made our stay so enjoyable. 5 stars all around!!!!

Great food, great service.
I’ve ordered from here a few times, mostly on Uber / Postmates. Today, my order was missing a whole Legume, either by mistake of the restaurant’s packaging or the driver leaving that part behind— couldn’t be sure. Either way I called and they told me it was there and that I could pick it up, meanwhile refunding my part of my Postmates order for the inconvenience. Still inconvenient that I had to go pick it up since my original order format was delivery, but the lady was really nice about it on the phone.
The restaurant is very clean inside. This is my new go-to spot!

It’s always iffy with this restaurant some days are good. Some days are bad last time I got an order The chicken was very undercooked and today I ordered. It seems like they gave me the bottom of the rice and some of it taste very hard and undercooked and their food are very expensive.

My first review was a few years old. It's time for an update. I usually use a delivery app however, there are times I'm able to go and pickup. The last two times I picked up, has made this a spot I will not be ordering from again. There are many other Haitian restaurants in the area that are far better at service than what's at Pearl. If you're not standing at the counter and in their face the whole time, your food will be sitting there for up to 30 min getting cold. You could be sitting at a chair next to the counter and they will let you sit there even though your food is ready. This happened TWICE so it is common there. Then they will act like they called your name and it's you that failed to hear it, not their failure to make sure the food sitting on the counter for 30 minutes is given to the person that ordered it 🥴

Just ordered catering yesterday. Hats off to the restaurant. The food was very good, the order was on time, and the staff was very courteous. I definitely recommend for dinner or catering.

Great food. But their cashiers very rude. They make you feel unwelcome, and like they are doing you a favor. While you are a customer , and spending money there. These cashiers will ran customers away. Because their nasty acrituted. They dont realize there are so many haitian restaurants that actually care for their customer. ""Even though"" they may not be the best, but they make you feel welcome... and always with a smile!. I used to come here all the time. And today i came back after a month... but the cashier gave me a nasty look and a actitude.. now i doubted i will ever come back. This complain is for the margate location. **I came today 2/7/25 **

I love the food and drinks at Pearl of the Island, especially the boulet (meatballs), tasso Kabrit and Fried Snapper. The food is so good at all the locations and I love the great customer service.

I can't help but keep coming back, even after setting a budget for myself! The legume is unbelievably good! I accidentally ordered the corosol juice, and it turned out to be amazing... The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredibly courteous!

Went here for a pickup. I wasn’t greeted when entering and walked into to the staff having casual conversations with what seemed to be people they know and/or regulars. After standing there while the staff acted like I wasn’t present, I interjected, “hello can someone help me?” The rep with a blonde wig responded as if I was doing something wrong… I showed her the order I was there to pick up. She went into the back but came out with nothing and communicated nothing back to me, then the staff and others continued in their conversations. I waited, assuming they were still preparing the order. Nope. To my surprise, after waiting about another 7 mins and seeing another guy come in for a pickup and was given his order before me, one of the reps questioned the other about me standing there. The rep with the blonde wig responded, “I don’t know, he just came in and been standing there.” I told the rep that questioned my order details. The order was right in front of them. The customer service here is disgusting. The lady with blonde wig spitefully had me waiting for an order that was right in front of her. I saw her when she taped the receipt that had the name that confirmed the order I previously showed her. If you are passing through or don’t know the staff personally, I highly recommend finding another restaurant. The average customer is likely to find customer service unsavory here.
