I stopped here the other night for a work dinner thing. I had the lobster roll (5 out of 5 stars) and it was great enough for me to come back tonight! Tonight I decided to do some appetizers. I settled in the Reuben egg roles (4 out of 5 stars) and the sweet potato cobia chowdah (5 out of 5 stars). I highly recommend for the food and the environment. Don’t skip on the chowdah….

28 N Gastropub offers a variety of different options from seafood, beef, chicken to salads and soups. A range of appitizers as well. Full Bar with many drink options (wine beer, cider, mixed drinks including specialities).

We started out with an appetizer - French Onion Poutine - fried cooked to perfection, caramelized onions added a sweet flavor and gave the gravy a deep flavor. Delicious!

Dinners Chicken Fried Steak with cheesy grits, broccolini, and red-eye sausage gravy. This was a huge meal, two portions of fried steak, tender and seasoned well. The grits had a nice cheese flavor but not over welming, soft but firm texture. Broccolini was firm with a little crispness but cooked. The gravy tied the meal together but was slight bit salty...the only miss. This meal could be for two due portions. (picture is half eaten)

Pumpkin Scallops - curry seasoned scallops cooked perfectly but expected more curry flavor. Nice chucks of lobster. Large portion of pumpkin gnocchi good texture and good flavor. Cranberry chutney was on top and had food flavor. Good meal but but was expecting more flavor.

Finished off dinner with an Amaretto Creme Brulee - smooth and very flavorful. More creamy (less solid) than expected but very balanced and tasty.

These guys were the best! Completely welcomed my family to the area and gave us an extra to toast our move! Food was excellent and the bar manager knows what he is doing. I got the small town vibes here. We will be returning.

First time here and we certainly will be back. The food and service was outstanding.

For my first time here it was so fun and the food was great!

Food tasty. However, inconsistent. Ordered same dishes each time I went and food largely inconsistent with how it was prepared
Some items burnt. For the price, should be perfect and consistent. Large piece of paper cooked into our food and not even a visit from manager. Waiter forgetful. Attempted to order coffee. Forgot to bring. Not busy restaurant. $150 for the two of us and we did not order drinks but did order dessert.

Absolutely amazing food and service! Best grits and crème brûlée I’ve ever had. For reference I grew up in the south and went to culinary school. Absolutely fantastic! We will be back!!

Really enjoyed dining here! The drinks were fantastic and the owner and staff were so friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was top notch definitely a great place to get dinner for a variety of occasions!

We had a party of 18. It was recommended that the fish and chips were really good. To my dismay the crust was so hard I had to remove part of it to find the fish. The chips were delish as well as everything else I tried from other plates.
The person that recommended the fish apologized and was also unhappy. Never again for the beautiful fish and chips.

Miles provided exceptional service. Extremely personable and kind. Consistently kept my drink full. Knew the menu well, described items thoroughly, and led my date and I to the perfect drinks and dinners.

Chef's Smash Burger is great, as are the fries!

We were delighted to stop for dining last night at this nice place. The beet salad, the crab risotto with sea food and the chocolate mousse ALL were amazing gourmet dishes and delicious! We have to praised our server Ray, excellent service and attentive to our inquires. He is well knowledgeable with the menu and the wines. Highly recommended. We will be back!
