They could not even make a club sandwich how pathetic. Food was overpriced and place was very noisy. Would not recommend.

What an amazing breakfast place! Highly recommended. I love to make your own pancakes. They also have a lot of other fun food on the menu but really unique location and great atmosphere. The service was tremendous. They don't let your water or coffee cup get empty and they make sure they give you all the attention you need.

Tried Backwater for brunch and went with something a little different…. the Gator Waffles. Honestly? Totally worth it. The fried gator was hands-down the lead flavor of the plate. Crispy, well-seasoned, and surprisingly tender. way better than I expected. It came on top of this orange zest waffle that had just the right hint of citrus, and the candied orange peel added a fun little sweet twist. The candy peel was a great addition to the plate. Really solid combo. Portions were great! I left full and happy. To drink, I had the Watermelon Mint Mimosa, which was super refreshing. Light, not too sweet, and really balanced out the heavier dish. Overall, great flavors, good portions, and something a little different. I’d definitely come back

Nice atmosphere with good service. Unfortunately, all of the food was just lukewarm. The flavors were good and portions appropriate. I got the Chicken and Waffle with candied orange rinds. The waffle was fine, but there were about six halves of chicken nuggets. I wish I had been told to eat the orange slices with it. They add a nice tartness. My wife got the Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict. Again, nice flavors but not hot. Our friend had the Greek Omelette. Same story. Not a terrible experience, but there are other places to spend my money.

Absolutely loved dining here! The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The sashimi platter was generous, and the miso soup had deep, comforting flavors. Staff were polite, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The interiors were minimalist and elegant. Definitely my go-to Japanese spot in Melbourne now!

Rustic vibes and a great place to dine! I got their lemon poppy seed pancakes and my boyfriend got their grits. Looks amazing and tasted even better, wow, I like to describe the pancakes like they taste like “cake”. Soft, fluffy, and sweet! The grits were amazing as well, had a nice savory kick and lots of protein. I also had their grapefruit juice that was very nice. We also tried gator for the first time here, the fried gator appetizer, and it was so good! It kind of tasted like a combo of fish and chicken. We were baffled (in a good way). Definitely will visit again! It gets full quick so I recommend going earlier if possible. We went around 11am!

So happy we found this place on our drive from Orlando to Miami. Food is excellent, the pancakes are fluffy, sweet and delicious. The Cuban Benedict was a great twist on the Benedict and I’d love to come back to try the others. A must visit if you’re in the area.

This place is SO good. Fast service, delicious food, and super fun to make pancakes at the table! Our server was super kind and we were seated quickly. Fun place for out of towners who wanted delicious southern-inspired food. Highly recommend!
