Backwater - Wickham Road

I just moved to the area and I think this might be my favorite new breakfast spot. Creative flavors and amazing mimosas! I had the Fried Green Tomatoe and spinach eggs Benedict with the black cherry grits and my husband had the pork reuban. Both were delicious but I had a bite of my husband's sandwhich and it was incredible. Can't wait to go back and try all the things!

The table for two people is very small. The food is great... hoster are not very friendly just drop your silverware and go .

We went for breakfast for the first time this weekend. The food was DELICIOUS!!! The best bacon I have ever had! I don't know why it took us so long to try it but we will be back for sure!

Everything is great except the constantly loud music. I'm tired of cupping my ears to hear the person across the table and asking the staff to turn the music down. Why don't the owners understand this isn't a bar or night club? 2 stars because the staff is awesome and turns down the music everytime, but I'm tired of asking everytime. Update: still too loud. They have savory vegan items, it just seems stuck in 2010. Eggs are tofu scramble that are dry and taste way too strongly of turmeric. Side options are tomato or home fries but home fries are fried in same oil as non vegan things, if that’s something that bothers you. Only bread option is rye. The vegan meats are fine though! They just up charge you for everything vegan. Basically the menu is just very misleading bc it makes it seem like things are able to be vegan but in reality they’re just removing ingredients. This is a great option for vegan, veg and non-veg options. Menu was clearly labeled with veg and vegan options. Staff was knowledgeable and the pancakes were delicious.

We had about a 30 min wait, but it was worth it. Best pancakes I've ever had!!!

Larger than usual portions. The establishment can get very busy. Great place to take the kids. A family can make their own pancakes right at the table.

Everything is clean... The salt and pepper shakers and the ketchup bottles are spotless! The food is delicious and all the staff are smiling and hustling. I need to frequent this place!!!
