I came here not knowing it was cash only after promising my 4 year old ice cream after getting her ears pierced. Chris gave my girls their ice cream with my promise to return with cash, which we just did. Glad to know such a great locally run spot in Melbourne.

The place is great but any time before 130 pm u have to wait 10 min for hotdogs
Any time after 6 pm have to wait 10 min for hot dogs
They microwave them then put them in boiling water for about 2 or 3 min this is the last time I will go here it would be different if they say it will be 5 to 10 min before hotdogs are ready
They do not get They taste different not like in the steamer this is the 3 rd time not coming back
As far as ice cream I think they got that down 100 %

Great local place to get ice cream, which has been around for over 70 years. Highly recommend as it is family owned. Also, keep in mind that the place is cash only.
My wife and I are from Texas. When visiting family in the Melbourne area ALWAYS take time out to frequent Dell’s Freeze! There is something special about about the way they do ice cream.

This is a generational hot dog, ice cream and soda drive in/ stand. Great prices, great food. For a fast quick stop it is awesome. Right on Rte 1 you have to watch for it. If you blink you might miss it. Enjoyed a great slaw dog today with a root beer. I'll be back. Servers were great too very nice people.

How can we go get ice cream if they are closed? Website says they are open but no one is around. It’s a hit or miss I guess and I always miss it. So sad!!
