Let me just start by saying that my server Gabriel was excellent and very attentive. No complaints there.
I will try to keep this as short and concise as possible...
Gabrielle asked me if I would like some bread before my meal and I am so glad that I did. The Bread was by far the star of the show. Unique in presentation and flavor, it was absolutely delicious - which set me up to believe that their were good things to come.
Unfortunately, not quite.
First let me describe what I ordered...
So, I already had a glass of beer and the bread.
For the main entree I ordered the Filet Mignon ($50), Crab Oscar style (Extra $25). As a side item, Gabrielle recommended the Broccolini, so I went with that. The Filet temperature I requested was Medium.
The food finally arrived and the presentation was very nice but a little bit confusing. As expected the Broccolini was in a separate side dish, but there was also some Broccolini on top of my Filet with some of the Crab Meat within it. A closer look revealed that there was A LOT of Broccolini and very little Crab meat. So I paid $25 for Crab Oscar on my Filet and hardly any Crab was there! Did they use the Broccolini on top of my Filet to disguise the utter lack of appropriate Crab meat?? And why would anyone want Broccolini on top of a Filet anyway?
I used my knife to remove the Broccolini/Crab topping from my Filet and cut into the meat. I am used to having a nice and easy cut into a Fillet Migon at most steakhouses, but this one required a bit of effort and some sawing to get through it.
To make an already long story short... The Filet was chewy and lacked flavor. It was actually kind of bland. The only time it tasted ok was when I dipped it into my Bearnaise sauce - which I had ordered on the side. No searing on this meat, and absolutely no flavorful crust of any kind. It was very disappointing. I dont even know what that yellow sauce was that the Filet was presented on top of on the plate, but I certainly did not order it - nor did I order broccoli on top of my Filet.
Bottom line... I will not be back. I have had much more flavorful steaks and Filets even at Texas Roadhouse. I thought I was going to a Premium restaurant, and I certainly paid a Premium price. What I received was something I could have gotten at a Diner.

P.S. I still did Tip my server Gabriel well.

I went there for dinner and just be in a mood for steak. My steak was cooked to a perfection, along with well complimented mushroom and salad. Great atmosphere, good for a romantic get away too.

We had such a great experience. The Filet was cooked to perfection. Our server, Iman was very informative, pleasant and kind. He took very good care of us. We finished our meal with their Peanut Butter Bar. I highly recommend.

The chef & owner is top class on the grill. My first experience was very impressive. My only critique is the limited inventory. For a place that charges top dollar, I am a tiny bit disappointed to find them out of prime filet and lobster tail on a friday. But I'd definitely come back, not many places you can get real beef nowadays, and Ember & Oak can make the experience delectable.

Ember & Oak delivered an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. The evening kicked off with their delicious espresso martinis—perfectly balanced, rich, and smooth, with just the right kick. Easily one of the best I’ve had.
Our server, Kate, made the night even better. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she struck that perfect balance between professional and personable.

The highlight of the meal, though, was Ember & Oak’s creative steak charcuterie board concept. It’s such a fun, elevated twist on traditional charcuterie—beautifully presented cuts of steak, paired with thoughtful accompaniments. It felt both indulgent and inventive, and it’s something I’ll absolutely come back for.

Overall, Ember & Oak nails the combination of great food, great drinks, and exceptional service. Already excited for my next visit!

This place is a for sure 10/10!! Local to area and tried it for first time for an Anniversary date and we're not disappointed! The quality of food was excellent and their service was over and beyond. Highly recommend. Also, make sure you make a reservation if you want better seating.

A friend and I visited for dinner on Saturday. I checked in at 6:25 PM and was seated promptly at my 6:30 reservation. While waiting for my friend, our server, Iman, greeted me and recommended several mocktails. Once my friend arrived, he continued to check in until we were ready to order.

We both chose the steak frites, and she added a side of mac & cheese. We started with the Mangrove mocktail—delicious—and the pull-apart, freshly baked bread, which was incredible. When our entrées arrived, my steak was cooked perfectly, tender and buttery under the chimichurri. I also had plenty of fries, which pleasantly surprised me after seeing some reviews mention smaller portions.

Iman remained attentive the entire evening—kind, patient, and never rushed us as we enjoyed our time together. He even offered us a complimentary dessert, and we chose the Biscoff cheesecake, which was absolutely to die for. Even after we paid and realized we had stayed past closing, Iman and the staff were gracious and wished us well as we wrapped up.

If you’re looking for a classy vibe and an elevated dining experience in Melbourne, I highly recommend Amber & Oak for date night, girls’ night, or any night out. Special thanks to Iman for exceptional service—I would return just based on this experience alone.

Awesome experience. Celebrating our 16th anniversary.
Staff was great, waiters were great, food was great! Even though we had to rush a little at the end, they made us a quick little dessert to finish the meal.
