Ethel and Fred’s was the definition of mom and pop. Don’t let the atmosphere or location deter you. Friendly staff and I think Ethel and Fred literally work there. Can’t get more authentic. Generous servings and better staff.

They close at 2:00, so breakfast and lunch only. We were there for lunch. I was picking up flooring down the street and they recommended Ethel & Fred's when I asked for a local mom-and-pop place with really good food. Glad they recommended it, as it was great!

The server said their patty melt and burgers are exceptional, so we got one of each. I asked for crispy fries, and she said they already come pretty crispy, and they were perfect. Really good fries.

My wife was thrilled with the Patty melt, and my burger was delicious. The cole slaw was also really good. Creamy and just the way I like it.

You would never notice the place if you are not looking for it. Their sign above the restaurant was destroyed in the hurricane, and she said it's very expensive to replace.
It's in the corner of an L-shaped Strip Center behind the Walgreens.

Too too pricey for what we got! Paid over $32 for lunch! We had the country fried steak with mash potatoes and gravy and both up all night sick. Not going back!

If you're looking for a cozy spot with great food, this mom-and-pop breakfast place is a must-visit! The service is incredibly friendly, making you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in. The prices are more than reasonable, offering hearty portions that never disappoint. Whether you're in the mood for classic pancakes, fresh eggs, or a tasty omelette, they have something to satisfy every craving. A perfect spot for a laid-back, satisfying breakfast experience.
